No value in DBs in a PASSING LEAGUE?!

Man if your patience isnt running thin with Rivera and this coaching staff i dont know what to tell you.

It's ridiculous man. This is what happens when a coach is somewhere too long with some success. They don't know how to adapt. They stick to the same philosophy they had since they first started as if the NFL doesn't change

We got whooped by 49ers all game

No sir, we were in the game (for the most part) and dumb penalties from players losing their cool is what cost us. Mike Mitchell was apart of that, CJ, and Captain Munnerlyn (a frickin head butt).

Boston, like Reid and Vaccaro, is an unrestricted free agent, and we're not touching any UFAs until May 10. Hurney said so himself.

Sure there are guys like Ron Parker hanging around, but it'll be another week before they make a move on any non-street free agents.

I think its because Dave drafted him and not Hurney,... Dave was kind of doing that,... chunking Hurney guys and bringing his.  What goes around comes around.

Hurney is step by step getting Dave guys out except for the fan favorites like CMac,.... Funchess's days are numbered,..

Exactly the reason you need PASS rushers.

In a sense I agree...but the new DC is more DB oriented. But let's be honest, the Dline is MUCH more important especially with the best LBS in the league. The QBs in our division will get theirs, they won't be stopped. They won't be slowed by an elite secondary, but by an elite Dline.

What I took from the OPs quote is Boston simply doesn't play a position where he is going to make the money he probably wants on a team such as ours (and really, most the NFLs) who simply don't need to spend at his position IF the defense runs properly.

NO.....You need both. We have been on this ride the front 7 train for the last 7 years and what has it really achieved?  Our secondary still ranks dead to last every year, Better yet when has this team really had a pass rusher the last couple years? The number of the sacks dont tell the whole story as we have to blitz way more than we use too. Who are the pass rushers that are gonna make this team elite anyway? Our best pass rusher is almost 40 years old and plays limited snaps. Elite d lines dont do much good against qbs that can get the ball out quick anyway. In today's league d line and secondary go hand in hand, one compliments the other so only addressing one and ignoring the other is a failing approach. There is a reason why other teams snatch up as many quality DBs as possible every year,  the only ones that dont get it are Ron Rivera and this staff.
