Eric Reid files collusion grievance against NFL

Recommended Posts

I’m all for people expressing their beliefs and protesting to stand up for what they believe in. But at the end of the day, it might cost you your job and you have to accept that. You can’t have it both ways.

I build and sell overpriced homes to people outside of the country and it prices locals out of owning homes. It’s my job. If I get passionate enough about the cause to protest what my job entails I better expect that my company might cut ties with me.

I cant bitch to get my job back afterward.

It’s going to be really difficult if not impossible to prove that the 32 NFL franchises have not decided independently that he isn’t worth signing.

Yeah, it seems pretty clear that he’s getting blackballed along with Kaep but proving t is another thing altogether.

Him and Kaepernick act like it's their right to play in the NFL,

like.... fug man,it's a god damn privilege.... why ruin it? There's better ways of getting your poo across to the public. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Eric Reid on the field and wish we'd sign him anyway, but legally going after the league because nobody has signed him in 4 months???? Even after it was documented that barely any safety have been signed yet....is just ignorant as fug

I'm the guy that buys those homes when they can't afford them anymore. Some people don't like me because of that but it's how I make money. I've seen broke and desperate in all forms but it's all in how you play that game. People are going to overpay, people are going to protest, and people are going to get pissed at a bunch of things. Either way you can't blame others for what you choose to do.

It is not a right to play in the NFL, but it is a right to be evaluated for the job, or any job, without collusion being involved.

That being said, I agree Reid does not really have a case as pointed out. Unless of course if someone goes through the trashcans from the owners meeting and find hand written notes from Richardson about not signing him :)

I don’t but if I had to I would. Kids stand up and do the pledge of allegiance every morning.

A bunch of millionaires playing a game should stand for the flag. Kneeling and sitting down bc of BLM is the stupidest thing ever. What’s sad is, Kaepernick would be look in the future as Rosa Park and MLK. When the real reason for him sitting down in the first place was due to being upset at getting bench for Blaine Gabbert!!!!!

There is no collusion with NFL dealing with Kaepernick/Reid but in Kaepernicks case he destroyed his own career with walking away from his team and NFL and put his foot in his mouth and he went to far with all this suing.

I probably would have waited until after mid May - June.

I was thinking the same thing or at least the start of the season. Didn't Kaep wait until midway through last season? Correct me if I'm wrong. He's black listed himself now. Would you hire someone that just sued you?

If it's a workplace, how about we keep the national anthem outside the workplace.  Do you stand and sing the anthem at your place of work?  If yes, please tell me what you do.

That's not the point.

The boss determines what's required in the work place. Don't like it? Work somewhere else. Go against it? Deal with consequences. If a boss wants to inject religion or politics in his place a business, so be it...that type of thing is EVERYWHERE. Don't go work for YMCA and complain of all the Jesus pictures and praying rooms or you feel exiled from the other co workers because you're the only one not Christian. etc.

We ALL do things at our jobs we don't like or agree with, because the boss says so ; that's the way business works. No one is going to come in and try and control that.

The owners have right to play the anthem during games much like the players have the right to kneel. They weren't imprisoned for that. they just have to deal with the consequences, because they chose to do it in a place where it is part of the business they work, and signed a contract to work for.

A little early, but Eric is a smart guy. He knows what he’s doing.

I hope both he and Kaep come up off a bag from the NFL.

No production and drama. A recipe for no contract.

Since everyone keeps bringing up Kaep, how much of his incentives did he actually produce? How many times did SF restructure him to give him a chance.

He ain’t getting poo in a court of law.
