Is the Pass Defense Legitimate?

Frankly, it probably won't be that bad. I figure they will have about 45 points at the half and then they bench Brees.

You're probably right about the 45 points thing, but I think they'll go second string pretty much top to bottom the second half rather than just Brees getting the rest.

The Saints game is gonna depend on how well we run the football. Drew Brees doesn't play defense. Our pass defense is showing improvement, however its like someone said, it was against the Bucs and the redskins. However our players are at least in the picture when an opposing player catches the ball. Tackling needs to improve, but I can honestly say, our team has shown improvement each week.

There is no coincidence that Peppers 2 best games of the season has resulted in wins. Meeks was correct when he said everything goes through him. Having to keep an extra blocker in is a huge blow to the offense when the D can drop 7 into coverage. Not having a hole in the DT position helps also. I am not sure if it's because of Hollis T. but Daimone Lewis has been playing really well the last 2 weeks. Obvious pass situations where we can put Brown, Johnson, Peppers, Lewis give us a awful lot of pass rush ability. However we have been blitzing on the passing downs with Thomas Davis a lot (who is doing an excellent job in all phases btw).

We will see how good we are against the pass when we face the Saints. Good lord those dudes are throwing up some points.

Going into the NYG/NO game the Giants had the #1 rated Defense in the league. Saints then rung up 48 easy points on them

"The Giants had the No. 1 overall defense and the best pass defense entering the game. That meant nothing to Saints QB Drew Brees, who completed 15 straight passes at one point in the first half and repeatedly found seams in the Giants' secondary en route to a 369-yard, four-touchdown performance."
