TWO TE sets are Back!!

If you listened to the presser, it was clear that selecting Ian at the top of the 4th round was for this specific purpose.

 

Ron said something to the effect that Norv loves running twin TE sets, and having two TEs that can block and stretch the field will be huge for Cam and the offense.

 

personally, I have missed this since the Shocky days. I have longed for the opportunity for us to have the ability to do it again, and it seems that waiting time is over.

 

I do believe that we are still missing a power RB with the absence of Stew... but I'm sure we'll sign someone that gets cut later on. 

 

None the less, I'm excited about the reemergence of the TWO TE sets!

seems like the perfect kind of situation all around

Pros:

1) Learn from one of the best people on and off the feild.. technique, tips.. just show how to be a professional

2) Allows him to come on slowly. We dont need him to be Greg Olsens replacement just yet. We need him to come in, work hard, show up when his number is called, and BLOCK, and block well. Catch a pass or two a game. Theres a lot of weapons and mouths to feed

 

 

Cons:

1) Fans will jump on his ass and accuse him of not developing and being a bust while Olsen is still here.. they will fail to realize there are only so many touches to go around. Think of all of our play makers that are legitimate threats. Luckily, what fans think doesn't matter.
