Consider all aspects, including special teams value. Keep six men. Assign them roles. Basically, build your ideal version of the Panthers secondary, but ignoring safety. No trades, no acquisitions. Position conversions allowed.

Ross Cockrell
Donte Jackson
First Down Jimmy
Captain Munnerlyn
Rashaan Gaulden
Corn Elder
Kevon Seymour
Zack Sanchez
Lorenzo Doss
Cole Luke

We're fuged.

#1 GTFO Munnerlyn

I LOVE our CBs

our two outside guys are Cockrell and Bradberry

our two nickel guys are Jackson and Corn.

both our nickels may be able to play outside if needed (or to shadow a speedster *jackson*)

The potential is there folks. Bradberry had a bit of slump. sometimes thats just natural, but also we brought the house alot with little effect, leaving the secondary out to dry. lets see what can happen with a better passrush and other play makers in the 2ndary so its not so wide the fug open back there.

Cockrell apparently played really well, and I like that signing

Corn was hyped to be a really good nickel with potential to play outside, but got hurt. HEs essentially a rookie again, but with some expirience and needed perspective..

Then add in Jackson, a dude who ran a 4.32 40 yard dash and it looks like he pulled something in the last 10 yards. I think he could have broke 4.20's. HE elite fast, with elite attitude. HE instantly can be plugged in to shadow any WR in the league. If he misses the Jam, well, then just catch up to him and make a play on the ball. Its not like he is a big slow guy where if he misses the jam, hes burnt toast. Play him at nickel to start off.

I honestly LOVE our dime defense

I think our pass rush gets better with Poe. I think we have two top 5 pass rushing DTs in the league. Add in Pepp and Addison... and who knows, maybe our Guy Hall comes into his own. sometimes the answer IS on the roster. and not some scrub old guy. These answers are young guys who have yet to have opportunities

give em to em

Theres a lot to be excited about. I know some of you guys..  if you dont see stats or proof of something statistically... you write it off

intuitively you just gotta look at the potential of this group and its tremendous. and not every guy needs to show out to be a strong group. Our CBS are young, talented and hungry.. and one happens to be as fast as any player in the league.

I know Captain didn't play well last year, but I'm not ready to trust Jackson and Corn as our starting slot guys week 1.  Especially, if Jackson may be playing on the outside against exceptionally speedy receivers.

Bradberry / Cockerell / Jackson

Munnerlyn / Elder

I think Seymour has a chance to make the roster if we move on from Capt, I don't see us keep 6 DB's on the active roster when the talent at WR is 6 deep this season. I'd like to see him and Gunther to the PS if eligible.

**My preference would be to move on from Munnerlyn as I think Seymour offers better match up flexibility, speed & size.
