C’mon Poe is good but in no way is he the sole reason why the Falcons Defense took a step forward. Neal, Takk, Vic, Tru, Alford, Neal, Deion, Grady and maybe De’vondre are all more important.

Not to mention the Falcons drafted Deandrin Senat from South Florida in the 3rd round to replace Poe.

Atlanta struggled mightily to stop the run before Poe anchored the Dline...they are going to be back to that.

Both the Panthers and the Saints are going to drop 40 on your defense. You guys have no answer for either team.

Your offense literally scored 10 points the last time we met but now your going to drop 40 and we’ll have no answer. Lol

And I’m pretty sure Trufant would be on Moore and Oliver on Funchess...but I’m the one that ignores good logic.

The funny thing is Oliver ran a 4.50 at the combine and Moore a 4.42. So much faster!

I’m sorry but the run defense wasn’t even great last year when Poe was “anchoring it”. And the real “anchor” on the Dline was Grady Jarrett easy. Probably the best player on the Falcons defense last year.

You do realize when we met you last time we had Funchess and no one else. It's not just two players you will be covering. We have Funchess, Olsen, Moore, Smith, and CMC. So like I said you can't stop us. 40+

My favorite Bucs pick was Vea. Clearly at a position of need too. I would be worried about their secondary though. I wasn’t impressed by their other selections.

My favorite Panther pick was Ian Thomas. I think Moore and Ridley are as boom and bust as Davenport.

My favorite Falcon pick was Senat who I really like at a position of big need for them.

My favorite Saints pick was Natrell Jamerson. At pick 164 that was about the range I would have taken Gaulden who went at pick 80.

I don’t see any of them as transformative.

That Dline in Tampa looks nasty

I think that TB nailed this draft. Vea is a beast! Cappa and Whitehead are going to be steals for where they were drafted. i also like Jones, but 38 seems high for him. I don't know much about Stewart or Davis, but their write ups look good.  That being said, I thought they had a strong draft last year, and how did that work out for them???

Davenport was talked about as a 1st round pick before the combine. The combine just cemented what you saw on tape.

Khalil Mack went to Buffalo. Demarcus Ware went to Troy. Talent is evident on tape. You don't get the chance to draft elite pass rushers at the bottom of the first round very often. They moved up to grab one they liked. That doesn't mortgage Drews future lol. Saints have a solid team, regardless.

I thought the trade was pretty bad on draft day, but it turns out it was historically bad. The Saints got straight rekt on this one. Like old school Hurney draft day trade rekt. This guy has to become the league’s next dominant pass rusher or the Saints are gonna look like fools.

“When the Saints were on the clock after the surprising decision to trade away next year’s first-round draft pick to move up in this year’s first round, there was widespread speculation that they must be planning to draft a quarterback. Because typically, that’s the only position that teams will give up two first-round draft picks to get.

A move like that is almost unheard of. The last time a team packaged two first-round draft picks to move up and draft a defensive player was in 2003, when the Jets sent two first-round picks to the Bears to select Dewayne Robertson.

And giving up two first-round picks for the 14th overall pick is unheard of: According to ESPN, it was the first time since the AFL-NFL merger that a team gave away two first-round draft picks to acquire a pick outside the Top 12.”

Note: For comparison, Robertson was the #4 overall pick... and a massive bust.

Extremely happy they gave up a 1st on a project DE. On the flipside if we don't have our line in order ...Davenport paired with Cam Jordan has the potential to cause us a lot of problems.

Best in this draft... Panthers of course. The Falcons did good but they seemed to be in Panic mode. Mirroring our first 2 selections then reaching for Ito Smith in the fourth????.. I'm willing to bet 75 percent of their entire draft came from players we visited with.
