Literally the worst draft in Panthers history

Starting WR

Most physically talented DB since Norman

Underrated safety with prototypical size and plays multiple positions.

TE that runs like a receiver.

This was a high risk/high reward draft that addressed our speed deficiency and playmaker deficiency. We have plenty of conservative, mediocre dudes. We need to stop relying on three guys for turnovers (outside of JP, TD, LK who else is going to cause a turnover?)

If Jackson ends up being trash and Gaulden can’t crack the lineup then yeah it’s a crap draft but idt that happens. I could see Jackson starting at Nickel day 1. I could see Gaulden as a sub package safety day 1 and eventually as the starter in year 2.

My point was to respond the OP's claim that this was the worst draft in team history, and you don't have to go back far to find a lousy draft.  Bradberry looks like a potential long term guy, Worley was and is a washout, and Butler hasn't proven a thing in 2 years--might emerge, but that's no better than a coin flip and more likely a worse bet.  Didn't get many picks that year, but that means you have to do better with the ones you have, and I don't think Gettleman did.  The cornerback cavalcade was 1 for 3 as of now.

Can’t really judge true potential until after 3 years. Being in the league after 3 years is a good start though lol
