Disappointed.

Gave him a C, but it’s probably a D day. Our secondary still lacks the ability to make the big play or create turnovers. We know Bradberry isn’t good at it, and we added a guy in Jackson who has terrible ball skills.

Man, I swear we should’ve not only let Norman play under the tag, but should’ve found a way to lock him up long term. When this next batch of secondary players don’t work out, we’ll be drafting another 2 to 3 DBs in 2020.

If there was a big playmaker on D they would be taken in the 1st round, by late 2nd round onwards we have to settle for solid/has potential kind of players.  My main beef is that we didn't get a true safety but converting a DB to one.

justin Reid was still available in the draft and we drafted a project player when we could have gotten a starter.

hurney gonna Hurney in the second round.

Justin Reid doesn’t fit our system.  He was never coming here.

what does that have to do with hurney

marty has been blowing second and third rounders on convert players since like 2009

You’re right, nothing. Most Hurney slammers are Gman knob slobbers. Maybe that’s not you...I just assumed.  If im mistaken, I’m sorry.

Since when did safety’s become system players?

Uh, always have been.  Some systems play Their safeties in the Box.  Some play man against tight ends or backs.  Some roam free in the backfield.  Some play a single high safety.  Etc.

reid projects as a single high safety.  We rarely use that formation.

I'm not even gonna vote because I refuse to become a poser.

I will say that I think these guys will be ballers (with chips on their shoulders). Hurney didn't go the safe route  which I think will turn out a good thing. Now we got some tude in the secondary with some coverage skills.

Most Hurney slammers have been Hurney slammers since before they even knew who Gman was, so you're still wrong.

It’s just field positioning, not coverage type. That has no bearing on him. Safeties responsibility’s are the same in man or zone coverage, 3-4 or 4-3 Defense. They are the most interchangeable position on Defense.
