Im a Landry fan so I won't poo on him, but it appears the size concerns are real.

That's fair.

I mean I get the potential Davenport has. I can see it. I wouldn't have minded too much if we got him for our 24th pick. I'm just surprised by the value the Saints used to trade up for him. Whether it works out or not remains to be seen, but I thought it was interesting.

And for Landry, yep. Unfortunately. I think personally his size isn't too much of an issue considering the state of today's modernized passing NFL, but we got archaic guys like Ron Rivera running the show. Landry's comp is Von Miller imo and he certainly plays a lot like someone who'd make an immediate impact, but who knows.

Or maybe there's something more with his ankle we don't know about.

If you look at just measurables and guys he's comparable to, they all went top 5. Mario Williams, Ziggy Ansah, Khalil Mack. Big shoes, for sure, but the potential is through the roof.

I was big on Landry going in. It seemed like he had shot up boards and would go in the first half of the draft, but that seems to be media driven. I don't mind his size, because of his speed, but guys like that have to develop a quality counter move other than speed. He actually reminds me quite a bit of Vic Beasley, so I guess it depends on how you see him as a player.

As someone who knows the Falcons pretty well, I just don't know how good that number 2/3 receiver really needs to be in that offense.

That's a weird thing to say but I feel like the Falcons could get more than enough production from someone that didn't require a first round pick.

Either way, I think Ridley and Moore went to their best possible destinations. Moore probably is more "electric" and has upside or whatever, but Ridley is probably more polished at this point?

Next year's de class is deep so the argument is going to come down to do you think davenports ceiling is higher than the guys coming out next year...

Next year is the year to grab a DE but the saints want to get Cam Jordan help asap and not lose out on one of Brees closing years not having help opposite Jordan.
