Oh unless cleveland takes Hernandez, his card for the giants will be turned in so fast

Agree and if Cleveland wants Chubb they could take Hernandez at 33 pretty much knowing (barring a trade) Chubb will be at 35.

What  Gettleman does or not doesn't not matter.

long time posters here bought in to his game. "gettlemagic"..in gets we trust", nippleshorts...and so many other terms of endearment that people used to nut themselves to be the first to say.

Gettleman is not a part of our franchise anymore. Now that the season has officially started with the draft...can we start filtering this kind of crap again?

Barkley’s a true once in a generation back and the Browns screwed up by not taking him first and still getting Mayfield 4th. Was a good pick.

Like Fournette was last year, and Zeke the year before that, and Gurley before that, and Trent Richardson before that?

I relaly have no dog in this fight either way, I just think the whole "generational talent" thing is way played out. Good RBs exist in every draft and they seem to be the ones most often labeled that way.

Dave grabbed the best player in the draft.

I mean, I'm all about factoring in need but if your option is the best player in the draft vs meh QBs? I think Dave made the right choice.   Even if QB is a need.

I'll put in my opinion, but most here will blindly follow the national media narratives - same ones that say Cam's only good trait is his running.

But anyways, Saquon is more or less a bigger Danny Woodhead. He hasn't shown certainty in his reads at the line and can be very indecisive. Now, he could certainly change in the NFL like Alvin Kamara has, but right now investing the #2 overall pick on that uncertainty is a risk. Especially considering the Giants poor offensive line.

Oh, and we make fun of CMC for not breaking tackles, but Saquon shares that same trait. Needs to be way more consistent at that.

Is he good at catching and doing something with it? Sure. But as a pure runningback, there's vision questions and decision-making.

I get why the Giants did it look at what Fournette did for the Jags, and I'd take Eli now over Bortles.

I'd would've taken Darnold, he's basically Eli Manning, but Barkley has the talent to be the best HB in the NFL, and can make an average QB better.

He got the top rated player in the draft.  one if not more of those Qbs will bust or be Average

and next year we will hear how 2019 Qb class is better than 2018 class or QB 2019 is better than QB 2018 as we hear almost every year

2019 class right now looking a lot like 2013 tbh. Just a glance at it no one screams surefire hit. Clayton Thorson, who would've been a 2nd-3rd rounder this draft is probably the best QB next year. At least with Darnold you could make the argument he could've been a first rounder last year had he declared early.

WIth a flailing franchise quarterbacked by an aging doofus, with a goofy balding nerd for a backup, with three good quarterbacks* laid before him on a platter in a way he'll never see again, and with the whole world watching, Gettleman picks a running back. A gifted running back, yes, but one whose mechanics put him at unusually high risk for a knee injury - a knee injury that would instantly rob him of his special qualities.

(* plus Josh Allen if you like that kind of thing)

You can book it right now: Giants 3-13 this year. Gettleman fired. Game over.

Meanwhile, we grabbed a young Antonio Brown at #24.

Get down on your knees RIGHT NOW and thank God that he saved you from what Giants fans are about to suffer.

You somehow seem to top yourself every post
