That's a strong word. I believe that he'll be a better pro though. If he is coached up to become more of a downhill runner, he may surprise. Once CMC started dancing less and hitting the hole, the difference was almost palatable.

Maybe not lost but certainly very medocre. He has good measurable but the most he rushed in a year was 669 and 4.3 ypc which is nut great in college not good production whole you referenced cmc who rushed for over 2000 yards in a season and 3800 all purpose No comparison production wise

I love Ballage quick 1st step. I mean dude has potential off the charts.

He is not a power runner but I've seen him run over guys...he just does not prefer it.

Plus has great hands out of backfield and can run routes.

all of you here knew I was super high on penny, Im pretty disappointed to say the least.

I hear ya, loved him.  Apparently the Browns were heartbroken and called Seattle asking if they would trade him.  lol

I won’t be mad if we draft a RB, and as much as I want one, I don’t think we need to move up for that position.

I expect Guice and Chubb to both be gone by the time we pick. I think Daniels and Hernandez will be gone as well, early in the 2nd.

The real question is CB/S. I can see us moving up to get one of OUR guys. I think Jackson, Reid, Harrison are guys we would move up to get, considering we would look at them as starters. I think we need to be on the phone after the first one is taken, and look to make a deal pretty quickly after the second one is taken. We could be fortunate like last night, so I think the goal should be to wait it out and see if any two are still on the board when we pick.

I don’t honestly think that will happen, so we do need to be prepared to move up, and depending upon it, we may be able to do it a few spots without giving up either of our 3rd rounders.

I can only see Guice and Chubb justifiable in round 2 and I don’t expect them to last long. Part of me is relieved that Michel and Penny went early. I get the need but I really don’t want to waste more than a third on an RB. I am preparing to be a little disappointed by the next rounds. There is a good chance we end up with the next tier of players. Annoyingly the Bucs needs are virtually identical to ours but they have 3 picks all higher.

In my opinion, you have to go BPA through the third. You just can't pick obviously inferior players over greater ones at other positions simply based "bigger needs." That being said, if players are close, you can gamble on the need. If not, do yourself a big favor and take the BPA. Let the experimentation begin on day three.

All that being said, if DB or G are the BPAs tonight, then by all means pick them. But don't go chasing inferior talent and being willy nilly with important draft capital.

that's fair
