A #3 WR HAS to emerge

Jake definitely needs to make some better decisions, but it would damn sure help if he had a WR that could get some real separation on the short to intermediate routes. As it is right now, he pretty much has to be perfect to be successful, and we all know Jake ain't perfect. It's not all his fault though.

A #3 WR is definitely needed, but a #1 QB is way more important. Fox has never been able to pick up a WR worth a damn though. He inherited Smith and Moose and when Moose left the search was for a #2. This team is completely committed to the run to the point that our #2 wide out's best contribution to the team is his blocking. Smith can and will continue to be the easy choice as the main receiver, but he's going to need help.

I disagree. The lack of receivers has amplified Jake's downfall. I equally rank QB, DT and WR as essential needs for this team.

Yep. Guess who else thinks the Panthers should get a #3? Opposing teams D cord.

Instead of a shutdown corner teams can play a soft zone or a mild Cover 2. Stay in between short passes and the run.

Maybe if the running team gets going enough that an extra backer comes up to support the d line. But you can bank on it NOT being one of the two on SS.

Seems to me that you would try to play Moore and Jarrett more. We also have Gary Barndge who only comes into block but is the fastest TE in the roster.

Are you actually suggesting that it would help our opponents if we had another play making WR?
