What are we gonna do about our turnover machine?

So... we can't feasibly run the ball 100% of the time to make sure our turnover machine isn't trying to point shave; but evident from years past we can't replace our turnover machine with a back-up because... well, they are turnover machines as well just like 80% of the other back-ups on every other team in the NFL.

Our defense is defiantly one of the top in the league in my opinion but always being tired because of 3 - 4 turnovers AT LEAST a game and then another 4 - 5 '3 and outs' defiantly has it's negative impact.

So, even if we had a 150 yd's a game QB with even just only 1 INT a game we would be in a better situation than we are now. I understand Fox and Hurney think of Delhomme as that guy with so many 4th quarter comebacks (he is at 20 now, +2 from the start of the season when he had 18 but as we saw today, its because of him we have to get out of these 4th quarter deficits and he didn't even help this week to get us out.), but Delhomme just doesn't have it anymore, he lost it. For fugs sake have him throw the ball through some barrels in practice to see how off his aim is. But what can we do to save our season from the turnover machines A.K.A. Jake Delhomme?

We have nothing to trade in the next 24 hours (at the time of me writing this, that is how long we have until the trade deadline.) or that someone wants to give up to save us. We certainly aren't trading Peppers now that he has re-surged but this is the best time to trade 5 sacks in two games and 2 forced fumbles. Get his ass outta here, get a draft pick or two for him and try to get a QB in the draft but more preferably from a team that is in surplus, I don't know who just someone that isn't a turnover machine and capable of throwing a forward pass.

This is a tough one really. We will HAVE to run the ball effectively to win. Jake just doesn't have it, period. If we can run the ball good enough, we may be able to slip in enough play action quick hitters to keep the d honest, but when we play a solid run defense we might just want to save the gas and stay home.

Maybe pass more on 1st and 2nd down. I know that I hate this but we can't afford 3rd and long. jake has no possibility to convert and more than not he will turn the ball over. Assuming we can't run the ball every down, we may want to mix the throws in early in the down and distance. If the other team knows we are throwing, forget it.

Bench the fool.

Start Moore, he won't play perfect, but Jake won't play after this year in this league.

I can agree with this. Could Matt Moore really be worse than what Jake is doing right now? I mean granted that 1st pick was not on Jake but how many times are we going to have say things like that week after week. Jake is not a game manager and he doesn't protect the football. He's played better but he isn't doing what needs to be done.

First pick was on Jake, it was tipped, in other words it wasn't a good throw, or it wouldn't have been tipped.(Rudd isn't exactly Jordan)

Both were on Jake.

Every time Jake drops back to pass, I worry about a pick 6. It's to the point now where it seems like Jake is trying to throw the game. He's ignoring wide open recievers and throwing to recievers who even Farve wouldn't try to hit. I kept saying to myself "he's paid off by the mob, he's paid off..." It's not sad anymore, it's not funny, it makes me worry that Jake has had a mild stroke, or the mob has his wife. No excuse for looking away from open recievers right in your vision, and throwing to recievers who are (even on tv) NOT OPEN. START MATT MOORE. Or direct snap to Williams.
