I hate to say it, but I imagine when he was working his way towards being a billionaire, this kind of thing happened quite a bit, and the woman either gave in, or stayed silent.  Of course, it was never alright. But imo, the world changed and Mr Richardson didn't keep up.

I think that's a big reason why he believed his "internal investigation" idea would work too.

I think Rivera is a good man at heart, but his loyalty here is badly misplaced.

Guy that used to work there told me a lot of people in the building have been "overpromoted".  Basically, Richardson rewarded people for loyalty by giving them jobs they weren't really qualified for, which is one reason why the team has been so maddeningly inconsistent.

And yes, both Tina Becker and Marty Hurney probably fall into that category.

I think the new owner might fire quite a few people.  I just don't think that more than 2 or three firings will be related to this.  If they are not qualified (overpromoted), then they will likely be fired because of that.

While it was a stupid thing Rivera did in hindsight. I think he just believed in his boss and friend and wanted to take his side. Hopefully he has been ignorant to all this stuff.  Hopefully...

Would have to add, don't know what his chances were before this, but I really can't see Marty Hurney surviving the ownership change now.  He's too closely associated with Richardson to be kept around.

Not to mention he said this a while back...

Mind you, I can't say with any certainty whether Hurney knew anything or not, but it's not gonna matter.
