Rivera is a line authority guy, goes along with not taking chances when he needs to...we know this despite the media driven Riverboat crap

On JR, it is possible for a person to be good at one thing and egregiously disturbing in another thus it becomes hard for people to believe 

I met him by chance twice and he could not have been nicer but the bottom line is he had power over the powerless and did atrocious things and he disgraced his family, his team, his city, and his business partners 

the only difference between him and Jerry Jones, Jones appears to keep it in his pants at work but who knows

Remember, Rice was originally only supposed to serve a two game suspension. Then the video came out and people went nuts. Not only did they blackball Rice at that point, they changed the entire policy.

Yeah, they didn't have long term effects, but you kind of have to attribute that to the fact that the league got rid of the offenders.

Richardson is potentially a way bigger PR problem than Rice or Brown, especially in the current social / political environment.

NFL only banned Rice after the video was released and only gave Brown a 1 game suspension until the outrage forced them to reconsider. They have constantly fuged up when it comes to player discipline and haven't suffered much as a result. This is comparable, considering they were content to just do an investigation, and now have reconsidered and facilitated the sale of the team to cover their asses, albeit too late.
