Cant even be a dirty old man any more....

I have lost all sense of purpose.  I have always been a kinky bastard and was looking forward to my days as a dirty old man.  Now I can only be an old man.

I'm going to be a hermit hiding out in a cave somewhere.

I never really cared for Mista Richahdson, but did all these shenanigans occur before or after his heart transplant?

He's a fool to write those notes and he's not gonna be the owner for long; but I've watched my dad go from a witty, funny 60-something to an old, inappropriate 70-something creep who has ZERO self awareness. I wouldn't be surprised if Jerry is in the same boat, but worse since the surgery. No excuse, but it could explain some of his weirdness.

I really just wish the sale would happen already so I don't have to hear about this poo anymore.

and for all of you people who are "ashamed" of being a Panther fan, no one is forcing you to stay on board.

Anyone who's truly a fan of this team and what Jerry claims they represent should want him gone. His actions pissed all over that.

This is about right.  He needs to be gone, but I also tend to think that he was/is losing it.

Terrible situation to be in...and unfortunately, it reminds me of the "elders" up on Capitol Hill.  Older isn't always better.

I agree he's losing it, but I get the sense the creepy behavior began before his mind started going.

absolutely disgusting and unfortunately unsurprising. his "Mister" shtick should have been the first clue that he's a creepy, racist old man. never liked JR before this, purely for football reasons, but this is significantly worse and more embarrassing than 1-15 or Pickles at QB.

That's a theory, but as others have pointed out, the article makes the NFL look pretty bad too.

NFL botched the Ray Rice, Josh Brown, and countless other incidents and havent really faced any long-lasting negative effects. I think they'd take the hit to force out JR ASAP.

Albert Breer talked about the league's  feelings around the time of the owners meetings. Darin Gantt and others have backed it up.

They want him gone. They want him forgotten. If they could erase him from the team's history, they would.

But that's a collective feeling. Getting individual owners to attach their names to a vote could be tricky.

It's like the old illustration about the death penalty. Lots of people favor it, but how many of those people would be willing to throw the switch themselves?
