NFL Concludes No Clubs/Teams Said Anything Controversial To Derrius Guice

Well, if you remember a few weeks ago, there was a report that there were some very controversial questions asked to Derrius Guice. Because of that, the NFL began an investigation into this subject matter.

However, the results are in, and it appears that nothing came up.

Now, this simply could be the teams just keeping silent and not exposing anything. After all, Guice never really pinpointed a certain team or give any details on the matter. Think of it like having $20 stolen from you, but you never identifying anything about the subject or even filing a police report. No one's just going to sit there and indict themselves when the victim doesn't even try to defend himself.

If that's the case, Guice could truly be in the right, but the fact he's not pursuing as hard gives the NFL a free pass to bypass the troublesome process of going through such a controversial issue.

Because of that, Guice may as well be painted as someone who likes to play 'the victim'; the stereotype young man of today who attempts to garner attention and pity via social issues while taking advantage of the extra attention as a 'victim.' He could very well be that type of attention-seeker, and that's where the NFL could draw a few lines.

I personally think Guice is probably one of the top pure runningbacks in this class, but his personality may not be the best for this lockerroom. And, fwiw, I'd rather have Chubb at this rate, but that's another discussion for another time.

So, if Guice were to fall and be available by our 55th pick, would you take a chance on him? Would he spark too much drama, or do you think this is a non-issue/isolated event?

I never got the Guice thing, so I never wanted him anyway. I just don't see anything special, and the fact that he's a liar tells me dude has got some issues.

On field, nothing too special. Off field, red flag.

Chubb, Michel and Penny are superior options, and always were to me.

I don't understand... if this really happened couldn't the NFL ask Guice specifically who it was and handle it internally? I understand he wouldn't want to say the team name publicly and be marked as a snitch but if this is all behind closed doors couldn't the league take some firm actions and be done with it? He'd probably be off that teams board but would still be in play for the other 31 teams. I know this is one of those no-win situations, but if you are going to bring it up in the media I think you need to be willing to tell the league who it was (note I do not think it needs to be made public for the entire league to hear). If you aren't, then what did you expect to happen anyways?
