People are saying TE and DE are “needs.” I don’t see them that way. Those two positions are luxury picks. Olsen has at least 1-2 years left. TE could be a target in the draft or FA next year. UFA or late rounder is also a possibility.

DE I see the same way. Prove to me Daeshon Hall can’t produce before you trade a 1st to get more pucks and get....another Daeshon Hall.

Our backup at TE is Chris Manhertz who is not an NFL caliber player. It’s a need

And Hurney's draft record.

The only thing he is good at is first rounders.

I also do not like the idea of trading out of the first but this statement is exactly accurate. Will Witherspoon, Deshaun Foster, Jeff King, Josh Norman, Ryan Kalil, Kindal Moorehead, Travelle Wharton, James Anderson, CJ, Godfrey, James Connor, Cap, LaFell, and Hardy all played significant roles on this team and none of them were drafted in the first. Hurney making trades in the draft-horrible. His actual talent evaluation skills, he's not bad.

I agree......Yes..... Trade Down.

But not to far down..... Switch picks for a lower 1st round pick or a very high 2nd round pick..... &...... Then pick up an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick.

Think like New England.......... They have done really well over the years with 2nd & 3rd round picks.... Tom Brady was a Sixth round pick

Make a Good all around football team.

I'm in favor of filling more positions for 4 years than banking on the guy we get in round 1 to being worthy of that round 1 selection.

This draft is deep in the second and third rounds, round 1 is very top heavy

Only guys I see as worth number 24 truly are Harold Landry and Josh Jackson

3 of our last 4 first rounders haven’t really deserved an option. I’d prefer 5 guys to fill needs, than going BPA or reaching for a need.

Basically got her picks from the Huddle. You can tell she browses this site all day.

Ballage is more of a finesse guy. He has the size but he does not use it well when it comes to power. His quickness, hands and size are why teams are interested in him. He is inconsistent and couldn't beat out a scrub in college.

Wouldn't be mad with the pick but I wouldn't be surprised if he became a bust.
