What Do You Think About Steve Comments

Every win there are players on the team who may not have stats for the day but they are part of the win. And they make rookie minimums and are happy just to be on the team and do whatever they can to contribute to the win. Smith doesn't get stats and he wants to whine. There's a reason why he doesn't talk to the media more than he does, and it's because more of these kinds of comments would come out.

How many of those players that are playing with rookie minimums have the unimaginable talent that 89 has? It's inexcusable that he has basically not had a role in the offense this year. Where are the reverses that he used to get? ANYTHING?

It is odd that it came after this game though because I thought Davidson did a pretty good job. He took the ball out of Jake's hands just like he should have.

But when you look at this SEASON as a whole, and not just this game, you should be able to see that they are not utilizing 89 like they should.

Think of how frustrating it must be for Smith.

If he were with a decent team, the guy would be HOF bound.

I still remember his words for Mike Smith of the Falcons after the Panthers lost to them; think he would not want to be there?

I believe we are starting to see why Peppers wanted out. Gotta have a QB in the NFL, and we ain't got one.

You're so right about this. If Smith had been able to play with a good quarterback for his career, he'd have Jerry Rice-like numbers through his first nine seasons.

Once people start respecting the run more he will get open more and Jake tried a few times to go deep with Smitty so I'm not concerned.

They are already putting 9 in the box...... I mean that right there shows they respect our run. The put a S and a CB on Smith, that right there shows they respect Smith. Now who are the two people they dont respect? Yup Jake and Moose.

Remember when the Falcons fans said they needed good WRs for Vick to be successful? What has Matt Ryan done with them?

Steve has NOT lost his skills. He had beaten Talib at least twice on deep passes that would have been walk-in touchdowns if Jake hadn't managed to overshoot him.

Exactly.

However we can't trust Jake anymore. Thank god the offensive line came back today, we ran the ball every play that last drive. Also, why is Moose starting? We all know he can block but he is not helping Smith out.

I understand Smith's frustration but even he should realize how much he is valued by our staff. We just need a better QB, honestly I was ready to pull Jake on that last interception. The man has had at least 2 INTs every game. You can't pin all that on the o-line or the WR's not getting open. I'd be ready to give Matt a shot, especially if the line keeps playing well.
