Likely a factor but I gather he also wants to atone for past mistakes. Like a do over in life which is usually rare.

This draft isn’t too top heavy and has a ton of mid round talent. It will be incredibly hard to fug this draft up. There’s like 100 players that are second to third round talents.

I just had a sickening thought.  What if Hurney is only good at first round picks because the scouts fight so hard against him that he finally caves in to them, but they are so worn out from the effort that they let him go in the second round.  Then they get their second wind in the third round and manage to reel him back in a bit.

I'm really depressing myself.
