Another Day, Another WFNZ Debacle

The Dan Lebatard show has ruined sports radio for me. I switched about two years ago to his show and listen strictly to that and the podcast. 

If you want local sports news, you don’t listen to the radio any more. You and me can find the exact same info they have online on sites like this, Twitter, podcasts, and websites. 

I don’t want to listen to some random dude calling into the station from Gastonia to complain. Give me entertainment with some sports sprinkled in. 

Anyone between the age of 18-40 will love the Dan Lebatard show.

Same here. I’m on Oklahoma and I steam Mac Attack at work every morning, and then switch to GMFB when Bailey & Garcia come on.

How is this a debacle? The radio station made a business decision. I like Kroeger a lot... hes relatable, real fan, local ties. But he makes a lot of sports knowledge errors and he's not the most entertaining personality. 

Frank is Frank. Kyle Bailey has some talent... strong voice strong opinions. I think he has something going for him. The station is in better hands now than the TaylorZarZou, Marc with a restraining order, and Burt Jensen lineup. 

I'm fine with the change but if you are so upset by this lineup why are you listening to WFNZ and not your prized NY radio...

Makes zero sense. Either Garcia screws over people and WFNZ or he's that close to hitman or both.

they fired Colin but kept Nate. They fired Yarbs but kept Frank. They fired Nate and kept frank. They fired QBC and kept Kroegs. They could have put bailey and Kroeger together. 

Hitman is an incompetent moron who has hitched his wagon to brain dead Garcia and are going to destroy what is left or WFNZ.

Not sure what you're trying to get at with your oh so clever last line. I mean WFAN is superior in every single way to WFNZ, that isn't even a question. WFAN and Mike and the Mad Dog are the main reason there is even sports talk radio. The one issue is I'm a Panther fan, and during times like the NFL draft they don't talk Panthers. So how about i continue to listen to WFNZ during the draft and continue to point out how incompetent frank Garcia and hitman are, and will continue to listen to the superior WFAN during football dead periods.

My understanding is Colin was note fired. He made a career change because midday sports radio wasn't his most lucrative opportunity.

Kroegs is good people especially in person...youd be hard pressed to find someone who loves what they do as much as he does.

Agreed, have met them all and Kroeger is a solid guy.  Sits up in the 540’s with us common folk at every home game.  Garcia is ok in person, but he cant take being wrong.

I find it hard to believe he willingly took 2-6 since it will interfere with his HS football gig.  I thought maybe Kroeger was going to do more hornets stuff, but unless he is going to quit he can’t take steve’s job, due to traveling for road games.

I honestly can’t believe this happened. Chris is a good dude. In person and on air. Sadly, I wasn’t a fan of Garcia at all, before Bailey came in. I can listen to Bailey but Frank... I can’t listen to that long. That and personally not a fan of Frank either but that’s my things now. It’s just added to my dislike of him. 

I hope what ever Krog’s has in his future is good for him. Cuz now I won’t listen to WFNZ after 2pm Much anymore.
