...I really want a first round WR with talent... the best available. ...then I want a 218lb 5'11" RB...then I want a DE or offensive lineman...then I want TE....but Marty will go CB, LB, T, RB...no one with immediate impact i'm sure...and if he trades, ima blow this mfuker up!

I'm normally the first one to say CAP sucks, but, we haven't run a traditional running scheme in years, running out of the fuging read option drops your RB's YPC, easily proven when we got rid of DLO, and I'm positive JStew will jump his #s back up as well. TBH, We don't know what we have with CAP yet, but I get a feeling he can play a bigger role, not along the lines of what Turner has Worked with in the past, but if given space to run, dude has some skill. Then again, maybe they draft someone in the mold they want and drop CAP all together, we wont know til the season starts

Thing about Cap is he has never shown any crazy power. Also he seems always confused with Cam when they do read option. They fumble on exchanges way more than Stew/cmc did. He doesn't have a good connection with him for some reason.

Also, if he's any good why couldn't he take away an out of prime stew job or at least make him split equal carries? Dude just seems like he's always on the bench with no purpose. Seems like a bust to me that the Panthers need to move on from.

I kind if agree with you, but also knew that RR had some vet crush in Stew, so, from what we have seen from CAP, he didn't take a step forward, and not being able to handle a read option.... Personally, I'd like to at least see what he can do in Norvs O at least in pre-season, I already had him in my mind as a bust and wanted him gone, but also figured we'd be running Shula ball til he died, so... Idk, maybe I'm just open minded and optimistic a little more then I should be, but who knows at this point.

We are probably approaching this thing the wrong way.  When Marty's job is on the line, he plays for the now.  His job is on the line with the new ownership.  In the past, he has traded away future first rounders for second rounders.  He has gone hard after future stars like QB Jimmy Clausen and wildcat artist Armanti Edwards. While Hurney claims to be a new man, there are signs he could be the same old Marty Hurney.

This is a great (and terrifying) point.  It's widely accepted that no other team in the NFL would give Hurney so much as an interview for a front office position.  He's more than likely gone when new ownership moves in, but its doubtful they would make a change before next offseason.  He essentially has one year to prove it.  I mean if we somehow pulled off a Super Bowl, there wouldn't be any changes.

It's in his (not the teams) best interest to trade away future picks to try to move up and get players who could contribute this year.  A project player does Hurney no good.  Next years (or the following years) 1st does Hurney no good.  His loyalties are with JR, not new ownership, so that wouldn't be stopping him.  I think we are going to see something big happen on draft night, and it almost certainly won't be for the long term good of the franchise.

I agree with the need of another big WR, but there is no way we take Courtland Sutton in the 1st round. He is slow and not really elusive. If we go big WR im thinking we go St.Brown in the 3rd round. He is fast and more elusive in his route running. He would be a better pairing with Funchess imo. Also seems more like a Norv Turner WR big and fast. If he puts on some weight he could be Vincent Jackson 2.0.

Was CAP the one that you could hear on the broadcast shortly after Cam audibled saying "is that real?" Anyone else remember that or did I make it up?

Hurney doesn't  impress any new owner making bad decisions. I'm not sure I'm concerned about this.

Why would Moton go to Turners position?

Mistake.  Even though the rest of the conversation is LG, let me know if this was a serious question or you are just trying to be  cleverly  trollish.

I'm fairly certain Norv has always liked classic fullback types. I haven't seen much mentioned about what Armah might mean to this offense.

I would play him as a third TE, Hback, and FB.

On the WR front, lets say all of them hit  their ceiling; EQ St Brown is a near perfect Norv fit.

Penny is very LTish and Gesicki is the ideal TE.

We could haul all of them and still get a DB r1

That first pick  will tell us a lot.
