I yelled at Philly for making me look like I was copying him but I'm over it. So I passed my permit test last week and am taking a beginner's course May 12/13th. After that I'll be free to pick out my bike! Right now I'm really in love with the 2018 Indian Scout Bobber. I'm looking for a cruiser with forward controls so if anyone has any ideas or advice let me know! I'm very excited.

How/When to get the best deals?

Gear?

Motorcycle suggestions?

Riding advice?

My budget is 15k tops but I'd like to keep it between 10-12k if possible. I'm 5' 11" 215lbs.

I picked up a white 2017 Harley forty-eight last November. Love it. A freaking beauty too. Ridin in the mountains

WHAt kind of riding will you be doing?  Daily riding, long distance, cruise the neighborhood. comfort is your primary choice based on time Expected to be spent in the saddle. Looking good but being in pain is only good for short rides.Get on. A forum for the bikes you want to buy, find. Out about repair costs, deals on parts, and are your fellow riders compatible to your lifestyle.

I bought my first bike (approx 4 years ago) based on me wanting to ride long distance, my mistake was falling in love with the first bike I saw, and not asking for a test ride or getting the bike independently inspected. Bike has been ridden over 25,000 miles, but currently sits in parking lot needing electrical repairs.

Daily riding. Half City/Half Highway. Not long distance. Occasional cruise session maybe out to Cape Cod or something.
