I grew up in Arlington, Texas... Right off Randol Mill Road. ( about a Mile or two from the Stadium) I grew up as a diehard Cowboys fan. I moved to NC in 1998. I was still a Cowboys fan. About a little over 10 years ago i met @usmcpanthers who, was a diehard Panthers fan. He slowly converted me to the Panthers. I still have Cowboys memorabilia from my child hood and Cowboys memorabilia that my mom bought me a month before she died. With this came a note pinned to a Texas flag. " Never Forget your Roots". Now of course, I will never get rid of the stuff my mom bought me. I also have a Cowboys looney tunes leather jacket, that was my dads.

So, I am trying to get tickets to the Cowboys vs Panthers home game, and hopefully @usmcpanthers can drive from Tampa to attend. I also have Panthers memorabilia, jerseys, and my car has panthers seat covers,  floor mats, and steering wheel covers.

Should I wear both Cowboys and Panthers gear, If I go to the game? I will "Never Forget my Roots", but Panthers is my Team now.

Take two Jerseys and cut them in half.  Sow them together 1/2 Panther 1/2 Cowboy.

Your roots are attached to your family, not the Jerry Jones Joke fest.  I grew up a Colts fan and had the same dilemma when Faulk and the Colts came to Clemson to play the Panthers.  I rooted (see what I did there?) for the Colts because I had dedicated 30 years of my life to that cause--from Baltimore to Indy, etc.  But then I went to a Panther OTA the following year, taking my 3-year old with me (OTAs were in Rock Hill then).  The Players were great with my son.  Eric Davis, Wesley Walls (just here from New Orleans), Tyronne Poole, Sam Mills (ran from dressing facility to practice field--other players teased him--it did not stop him).  Then I asked Kevin Greene to pose with a picture with my son as he approached.  He said "Sure thing."  He was wrong.  My son was facing me and Greene walked up from behind.  As Greene was reaching for him to pick him up, my son noticed him and it scared him.  He ran, causing Greene to grab air.  Without missing a beat, I said, "Sack artist my  ass!" and he died laughing.  He talked to us for a while--we got the photo--and I left there a Panther fan for life.

I work 2nd shift, just saw Doc's thread.  It has a slow arduous process converting him to the good side. Wear whatever you want man, but if it doesn't say Panthers, Im going to give you poo over it haha. Also ill smack you in the back of the head if you cheer when Dallas does something well.

Screw driving, im flying up for the opener.

Here's to 1-0, you will be happy either way bud.
