SOME 2017 STATS

Honestly being flashy and signing poe is going to bite us in the ass. That 9-10 mil could have went somewhere more important. We had the guys to plug in.
Even without Poe, i doubt our rushing defense and sack numbers would diminish much. But we are taking such a big hit in our secondary and could potentally be holding back our offensive output.

that’s mostly bc our offensive system has been terrible for YAC

To be fair, it also had to do with how Cam likes to operate as a passer (see the Receiver come open, then pass instead of throwing where the receiver will be with anticipation).  That's not to diminish the fact that our OC/QB coach didn't push him in that regard at all, and also was hell bent on running him head first into a brick wall.  Year 1 under norv will be huge for Cam and I for one can't wait to see it.

I'm pretty much down to wanting DJ Moore or Ridley, our top CB (my pick is Josh Jackson, but if we like Alexander or Hughes better then fine), or Harold Landry at #24.

I put Landry in there simply because our DEs are old and our defensive philosophy pretty much demands very good if not elite DE play to work. If we think he can replicate his college success then we'd be crazy to let him pass by is if he was there at #24. I honestly think he's the best pure pass rusher in the draft.

Rushing stats without the QB?

I would say in the middle of the group.

Need to draft a power RB like Chubb.

We do, and there will be a nice power back who can compliment CMC in round 3.

What else we need and your love affair with TEs will like

Dalton Schultz- will fit that TE2 spot nicely. A upgrade to Dixon there.  And helps in the run game.

Weaknesses
  • Receiving production has been underwhelming throughout his career
Strengths
  • Very tenacious and tough as a blocker
  • Well-schooled in blocking fundamentals
  • Leaned on as vital part of the run blocking unit
  • Initial hand placement is good
  • Ability to sustain and finish
  • Improves positioning after contact and can generate some movement at point of attack without a double team
  • Gave it to USC's Rasheem Green on more than a couple of snaps when matched head to head
  • Sinks hips into breaks
  • Opens sharply on underneath routes to look for the throw
  • Has good feel for attacking the voids against zone coverage
  • Will shut routes down early to keep throwing window open for quarterback
  • Physical in creating space at top of his routes
  • Short area footwork is adequate
  • Has ability to become a reliable target over the middle and in traffic

I'm tired of depending on defense. Let's score a bunch a damn points. Nobody the last couple years have won the super bowl with defense. Look how damn awful Patriots defense was last year and they made the Super Bowl. Lol it's all about offense in the NFL now and with all the penalties they called on defense.

Lol. The Pats were great in the redzone. They'd let you drive and keep you to 3. And the eagles arguably won because of their D. They pressured Brady all night. And a defensive play sealed the deal. You don't beat Brady without Defense.

You've aged yourself as a seven year old if you do not remember 2016.

Don't really get your logic because they both scored over 30 points?

Naw dont get an elite power and speed back. Lets just keep using Cam as the main power running back then blame him for losing and being hurt. Sounds like a plan.
