I dont want a wide receiver round one

I would probably take Ridley if he fell to us.  Not sure yet about DJ Moore.  After those 2 I would wait until 2nd or 3rd, most likely 3rd.  The next 3-4 guys that should come off of the board I view as slot, except for Sutton, who seems a bit redundant with Funchess.

I’m good with wide receiver,... but a corner would potentially help more now.

The DJ Moore’s, Kirk or One of those would be awesome, although I believe Funchess, Torrey, and Wright are underrated by most as a good starting corps.

There are a lot of safeties still on the market, some pretty decent ones too, young, so I just don’t see a safety in the first or even 2nd a must. I won’t cry if we take one though.

tightend, having double tightends was not Shulas strong suit, but Norv will know what to do with them, ala Chud,.. and no one can say they don’t miss having Olsen and Shockey on the field at the same time.

so I won’t cry at a pass catching tightend either.

I see our first three picks as -- WR / S / HB <<< HB / S -- may swap, we don't have a need for a rookie DB right now, Bradberry, Cockrell, and Munnerlyn are the starters, if we add a DB it will be the 2nd 3rd or lowerd.

We still have Luke, Elder, Seymour, and Gunter, defensive back is not a need as Cockrell is a considerable upgrade over Worley based on the statistics, and Bradberry is a closer player to his rookie form than what we saw last season.

This team needs offense, and in a bad way, I like CAP but he's not the answer moving forward, he's a JAG runningback, nothing dynamic or really impactful about his game that can't be replaced. I think the look to add a more dynamic compliment next to CMC. Smith isn't the long term answer opposite Funchess especially considering some see him as a #2, so I think receiver is the move in the 1st.

I can’t agree that we should go into the season with Ross Cockrell as our answer at CB. He should compete for a spot, but there’s a reason we are his 4th team.

You take the BPA, not an inferior player at another position because you think he's needed more. There are few WRs worth taking in the first round, and if you can get them, you get them, because they're likely much better than a defensive back whose skills relate closer to second and third round talent. If Ridley or D.J. Moore are there, you likely take them. If Baby OBJ is there, and you really believe he is Baby OBJ, you take him! The draft is deeper at defensive back, so you can pick one up in round two or three.

BPA doesn't mean the best players are automatically defensive ones.

Talent + Scheme + Need = BPA

I agree Talent + Scheme but not so much need in the first. Remember how many guys will be let go once teams cut down. I feel we have more pressing needs than WR in the first. I okay with an offensive player in the first but wouldn't want to reach just because a lot of people think we need a WR.

I dont think CB is a huge need for us. We have Bradberry, Seymor and Cockrell on the outside... with Munnerlyn in the slot. We also have 2 guys in Corn Elder and Cole Luke who showed flashes last year... along with Zach Sanchez who played a lot for us. I like where we are at there.

I could see us get 2 Safety in this draft, maybe as early as 1/2 depending on who we like. I also think we need to address RB/TE/EDGE/OG/LB in no particular order.

if we dont take a CB or FS in first round i'll be pissed. we do not need a TE. we do not need a WR nearly as much as DBs. and this WR class is bad on top of that. even if ridley fell to 24 i wouldnt want him.

I'm with you.. The Wr in this class are okay but all have major transitions ahead of them.. That's why a lot of teams paid crack prices for nickle bag vet WR's... Honestly with our vet moves this offseasons.. I don't know if a rookie WR would start day one.  Funch and Torry are starting on the outside and Wright is in a slot with Samuel's and Byrd backingup...

I disagree, Cam needs all the weapons he can get and out WR corps doesnt really inspire a whole lot of enthusiasm. If Ridley or Moore is still there, i think we need to take them but i get that they both have their downsides. It really all depends on how the draft shakes out.

are dj moore or ridley really more talanted than someone like dante pettis or anthony miller? not that big  of a drop off id say
