This guy , don’t be like him Hurney and pass over  a HOF TE because of ego and draft a rotational DT/WR/CB.

Hurst is already 40 how tf is he gonna be a HOFer playing 6 seasons? if you were saying this about hunter henry i could see it. This TE class isn't good Hurst shouldn't even be a first

I mean... how would you rank last five 1st Rders CMC, Shaq, Butler, KB, or Star

For me

  1. Star
  2. KB
  3. CMC
  4. Shaq
  5. Butler

2nd Rders

  1. KK
  2. Bradberry
  3. Funchess
  4. Moton
  5. Samuel
  6. Ealy

So it is between Butler and Ealy and I would lean Ealy. This doesn't account for missed prospects at those spots.

The Shaq disrespect lol. KB isn't even on the team anymore!

Some brought up injury, and IMO that can lead to a prospect never living up to his billing.  Clowney was on his way for a bit, but finally got healthy.

Either way, we haven't had many "busts" lately, but the three worst were Brown, Edwards, and Otah, at least over the past 10 years.

I'm not a fan of the Big Vern pick, but I sorta get it.  I didn't love the Shaq pick either, but I sorta get it.  At least Shaq is seeing the field a lot more though.

I think Edwards wasn't necessarily the bust, but I think the whole idea that he should transition to WR was the problem. It wasn't his natural position and almost no one makes that transition successfully. If he were just coming out of college now and had just had the same college career he posted back then, he'd have made a good mobile-QB of back-up level quality (his size was too small for first string work).

And let's face it, we've not been the best team for developing college WRs into pros, much less college QBs into pro WRs. Pilares is the same timeframe and no one could turn him into anything.

Otah was before the sample of 2013-2017 but I've still got to say that it was the injury that did him in and I can't hang the bust sign on a big guy who's knee gave out.

Is it just because Butler was a 1st rounder

I seem to remember a CB, while he wasnt a 1st rounder but a 5th.  It took 2.5 years to even show anything.  Then his last year he blew up.

Just have to learn some Patience, lets not forget he missed a Lot of his rookie season due to injuries which set him back

Yes, it is. "Bust" is relative to the expectations put on you in the first place, and there's a big difference between Norman and Butler in that regard.

I'd have to say Shaq.   But I hope THIS is the year we settle that debate completely.       First four games will show a lot.

I can't completely disagree with KB being a semi-bust though, guy never got better and never learned to use his size correctly.    Kerry Colbert had a good year as well lol.    It's too early on Butler though.
