Who is the biggest Panthers bust of the last five drafts?

Were only going back to 2012?

A few more

Everrette Brown- traded away the next seasons 1st round pick.  Brown was with the team for only 2 seasons.  And only started 3 games.  Was on and off a couple other teams before being out of the leage 3 seaons later

Armanti Edwards- traded away what was the #33 pick in the 2011 draft.  Edwards had 0 starts in his 4 seasons here and had a career 5 catches for 121 yards

The rule that the threadmaker has is 2013, presumably to look at drafts that Gettleman presided over.

Even though I generally don't think of 4th round players as "busts", Kugbilla was the worst pick during that timeframe. I don't remember him doing anything other than riding the exercise bike at training camp.

I think the OP is pointing at Vernon Butler. I disagree since we only have 2 seasons to evaluate. Many people said the same thing about Thomas Davis after the 2006 season.

Silatolu was 6 drafts ago. The Ealy mention is one I hadn't thought of.

I keep being drawn to Butler even though I don't believe he can't become a more useful piece. But we had to pickup a free agent DT instead of using our first round selection

Not the same position, just like we wouldn't have KK take over Star's role, Butler & KK play the same position. We did not have a NT on the roster other than Kyle Love.

You gotta look at who the OP is. The same guy that calls the greatest qb we've ever had wonder woman

I perfectly understand the difference. but a 6'4 330 lb first round draft pick needs to be stout enough to play the position. He's bigger than the guy who played it the past 5 years. It was a bust of a selection if the first rounder can't be a starter.

Poe doesn't play the prototypical NT way either. He excels with his speed more than simply anchoring to take on blockers. On the Falcons it was Grady Jarrett who played the NT role this past year.

you clearly have an agenda with this thread, stop being passive aggressive and spit it out.

I have a feeling he wants to say cam...who is an mvp, 3x pro bowler, ROY, and numerous record breaker, but yeah he sucks.

You can poo on all of DG's drafts you want, but you're reaching to poo on Hurney's which is triggering me and isn't a good sign. Vernon Butler is possibly the biggest bust and that should come with a first round pick. Bust in the second shouldn't really count, and Ealy had accomplished more than Butler. He's just not on the team. I'd have to say it's Benjamin. Had a fantastic rookie season, gets hurt and we go to Super Bowl, underachieves and complains and eventually gets traded. Having said that, trade up for Derwin James and we'll avoid that mistake again.
