Do we really need a new thread for every poster's mock draft?

Did you really need to make a thread just to whine and complain?

STFU already.

He has a legitimate question, and he's not alone with his thought process.

I enjoy reading the mocks, but there is good reasons to consolidate them, which include being able to find all of them in one thread, so no one mock gets lost in the shuffle.

But go ahead and complain about the very thing you're complaining about.

OP made his mock draft thread, now doesn't think others should.   Why should he be able to but not them?     He deserves what he got lol.

obsessing and fixating on the draft as if championships are only won in the war room has been a long standing tradition on this board

it has been this way going back to the fox/hurney days when there’d be no cap to work with so the first round pick was usually our most talented acquisition in the entire offseason.

it doesn’t just show its face in the form of mock drafts. i honestly have come to the conclusion that the draft is so overvalued and obsessed about over here that it makes browsing this place unbearable.

I could have sworn this happens EVERY offseason... I may have been a member for only a year + but I've been lurking for quite some time (before the Jimmy Clausen meme lol). Just saying, if one wants to post a mock, let them. It's not like we have any real Panthers news until next week either way. Some of them are actually interesting since I don't watch college football outside of my Tarheels.

    • No team in the league would sit back and say Mays outplayed Hunt or Lewis so its a typical case of stats (or ratings) not telling the story. The team also was in a much better position at the end of the year, where the begging was very rough all around. Everyone was learning the new scheme, calls, learning how new teammates played in real games and all of that changed the second half of the year. We started getting actual production from the run game and receivers and everyone’s play changed from the beginning of the year.   As a side note Mays goes down or another linemen who is coming in? We have zero depth and Brady Christiansen will be hitting free agency to be a starter elsewhere.  With as many holes as we have it makes sense as long as it’s team friendly deal. I’m not opposed to drafting someone as well, but we know what we are getting from Corbett when healthy and he’s above average playing multiple positions. Maybe they have it as an open competition between him and Mays, loser is the prime backup for G and C
