Of all the things wrong with this team, the HC being quiet with the media is not one of them. The last thing we need is for our coach to be throwing players under the bus. Fox knows Jake played poorly. Yelling about it to the media doesn't help anyone.

For all of you guys who like to quote Fox's statement: "Stats are for losers", this is the context that he means when he says it. You can go back and look at any number or lack of number you want. But in the end the only one that counts is who wins and who loses. Anything else is food for discussion but doesn't really matter. The losers, whiners, and complainers are the ones dissecting the numbers and bitching. The players are enjoying the win before getting ready for Buffalo.

Last year Jake had a 38 rating at Tampa and we got bulldozed. This year we won. Sure Tampa is bad but Oakland showed Philly that there is parity in the league.

So it the end Fox is exactly right. It doesn't matter how we won as long as we do it. Anyone who doesn't think we will looking at film this week and trying to fix the problems are idiots. But Fox doesn't have to air his dirty laundry to the public either.

I can't remember any other time where a coach at a post game press conference said his QB play doesn't matter and he isn't going to discuss it. Isn't discussing what happened at the game the point of a press conference?

Does John Fox really thinks because you get a win, he doesn't need to discuss all the aspects of the game that went wrong?
