Mel Kiper, Todd McShay, and people like Kevin Weidel on WFNZ are not experts. Please don’t confuse a person with no NFL front office experience &  no NFL playing experience as experts. If any of them knew what they were talking about, they would be working for an NFL organization.

On tv they play the role of "draft expert", whether or not they really are is a different topic and not really relevant to the point I was trying to make.

Also while their ability to predict what a particular team is going to do in the draft is less then that team is able to predict (duh), their ability to predict what other teams are going to do is probably about the same.

Stewart and Mike Hughes could have been a great tandem for us. Hughes has popped up in a  few mocks in the first round. Speaking of Smith, I was a bit surprised he left early but about a 2-3 weeks before the deadline to declare, he tweeted out an idiotic comment asking for money because he was a broke college student, which I’m pretty sure in an NCAA violation and I’m sure caused a 45 page thread about it on packpride. UNC defense could be a disaster next year as well but I’m to the point now with Fedora that I’m almost willing to take another horrible season if that means he will be fired after next year.

We could probably do a whole thread on Fedora and the UNC defense...it has been really poor for many seasons.  I have been very disappointed with him remaining the coach for a while now.  Very frustrating.

Its almost like UNC devalues football and doesnt care.  No reason UNC shouldnt be good or great in football.  The stands were damn near empty last year.  Pathetic.

They will burn Kenan Stadium down to the ground before they let anything happen to the basketball program. That’s just the way it is.

But they should be better than what they are. Fedora is terrible. His recruiting is certainly respectable but that’s it. UNC and the ACC is too big for him. Honestly he should probably be at a school like ECU. I got a feeling they are gonna be in for another tough season coming up.

Never heard of those guys listed after Moore. That could easily end up being a terrible draft if Moore busts

Heres a much better draft using that same 1st round pick :

Round 1 Pick 24:  Moore, DJ, WR, Maryland (A)
Round 2 Pick 23:  Reid, Justin, FS, Stanford (A-)
Round 3 Pick 21:  Michel, Sony, RB, Georgia (A+)
Round 3 Pick 24:  Hurst, Hayden, TE, South Carolina (A+)
Round 5 Pick 24:  Hill, Holton, CB, Texas (A+)
Round 6 Pick 23:  Ateman, Marcell, WR, Oklahoma State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 16:  Adams, Tony, OG, North Carolina State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 24:  Flowers, Tre, SS, Oklahoma State (A+)

Lol...

It amuses me when people like to make fun of the experts for not picking the correct player in each round.  There are too many variables and too many players for anyone to do that.  One team picking someone different in the first round can have a ripple affect throughout the draft.

What you should look for is the "experts" who get the players in the correct range.

Also every year it seems like fans of every team end up concentrating on the same group of players, usually those that measure really well at the combine.  Then everyone is disappointed when players are drafted by their team that nobody has every heard of.

the problem is is that these "experts" aren't actually more accurate that then fans so no one takes them seriously

Most fans don't know the names of the majority of players drafted after the first round.

Look at this thread alone, all the people that know nothing about the players that he listed after the first pick.
