Never heard of those guys listed after Moore. That could easily end up being a terrible draft if Moore busts

Heres a much better draft using that same 1st round pick :

Round 1 Pick 24:  Moore, DJ, WR, Maryland (A)
Round 2 Pick 23:  Reid, Justin, FS, Stanford (A-)
Round 3 Pick 21:  Michel, Sony, RB, Georgia (A+)
Round 3 Pick 24:  Hurst, Hayden, TE, South Carolina (A+)
Round 5 Pick 24:  Hill, Holton, CB, Texas (A+)
Round 6 Pick 23:  Ateman, Marcell, WR, Oklahoma State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 16:  Adams, Tony, OG, North Carolina State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 24:  Flowers, Tre, SS, Oklahoma State (A+)

Dream scenario...but a dream.  Sony in the 3rd.  No.  Ateman is gonna go much earlier than people think.  I would take this predraft in a second.

That Texas CB Hill is a really good player and has all the numbers but I wouldn't pick him.  Really suspect character.

If thi I a draft that that causes us to be 8-8 what combination of first year players drive us to a winning record?

Not neccesarily arguing but but would love to understand the logic behind this.

Plain and simple this draft is giving you the opportunity..  To leave with a starting CB and Safety backups at TE and RB and a either developmental DE or WR..(Rather DE) Maybe both if lucky ..  If we are smart this is a easy draft to fix the secondary for years to come and hopefully build some depth.

Man, that is a strong statement.  Solid is IMO a solid comment.  He is ok in a group of ok guys.  That mock is bad.  I would be so fuggin upset with that shet.

I don’t know if u are a UNC fan but Stewart has been one of the bright spots for Carolina on defense the past couple of years. Heels’ defense is terrible and neglected by Fedora, not to mention the entire team was ravaged by injuries last year and the defense as a unit was giving up yards by the hundreds. Him in the third round though does seem a bit high but maybe he did well at the combine?

This is probably my personal favorite mock that I have seen.

It amuses me when people like to make fun of the experts for not picking the correct player in each round.  There are too many variables and too many players for anyone to do that.  One team picking someone different in the first round can have a ripple affect throughout the draft.

What you should look for is the "experts" who get the players in the correct range.

Also every year it seems like fans of every team end up concentrating on the same group of players, usually those that measure really well at the combine.  Then everyone is disappointed when players are drafted by their team that nobody has every heard of.

Yeah Heels fan and LB Smith and Stewart were probably the best defenders for us but Stewart is solid like you said but not sure he is NFL talent.  Hope I am wrong. Kiper loves him for what its worth.

Stewart and Mike Hughes could have been a great tandem for us. Hughes has popped up in a  few mocks in the first round. Speaking of Smith, I was a bit surprised he left early but about a 2-3 weeks before the deadline to declare, he tweeted out an idiotic comment asking for money because he was a broke college student, which I’m pretty sure in an NCAA violation and I’m sure caused a 45 page thread about it on packpride. UNC defense could be a disaster next year as well but I’m to the point now with Fedora that I’m almost willing to take another horrible season if that means he will be fired after next year.

Mel Kiper, Todd McShay, and people like Kevin Weidel on WFNZ are not experts. Please don’t confuse a person with no NFL front office experience &  no NFL playing experience as experts. If any of them knew what they were talking about, they would be working for an NFL organization.

They are opinion makers, who are paid to work for a media outlet to stir the pot, provide an opinion to generate content. They are no different than Joe Lunardi. They parachute in two weeks before the draft/bracket give a bunch of hot takes and provide opinion and get people talking about their event.
