Chark has better speed. He did have a really good Senior Bowl, but so did Joe Adams, Zay Jones, we drafted one of those guys and McDerm/Beane stole the other one who I guess has some personal problems. I have to think that with Samuel and T Smith having raw speed we need to add a technical route runner added to this group

I agree about the route runner, but that can be taught, and will likely need to be unless we somehow end up with Ridley.

Getting back to Chark, he was rated higher than these guys pre-Senior Bowl, Combine, and regular season. It's more than just speed that may make him more appealing. Look at ALL the measurables. And, again, I'm not arguing that he's heads and shoulders better, but to say that Hamilton and Gallup (who I like just as well) have a higher floor and ceiling is a stretch in my opinion.

Can anyone explain to me what’s so great about this guy? He’s never had a season where he’s scored over 6 TDs or had 900+ yards. He’s never had great production.

I tell you why he stats show he has great hands and runs excellent routes. Just read 80 percent of his catches went for a first down.

Not at all.

Hamilton can run routes.

Landry can run scatback routes and bubble screens while wasting yards by doing too much extra and doing nothing worthwhile.

Jarvis musta smacked your momma or something.  To each his own man.

Hamilton excelled early in his career with Hackenberg throwing to him. He then had Trace McSorley throwing to him, and it took some time to adjust to Trace and his sometimes inaccurate throws. Hamilton often had to make adjustments on the fly to get a hand on McSorley's passes, while generally speaking Hackenberg had the arm strength to hit him on the hands.

Hamilton had some issues throughout his career with dropping open looks. In fact, he had some crucial drops even in his senior year. He always seemed to make up for them with a big play a little later in the game though.

Hamilton was a consistent deep threat for PSU who could make plays on the ball and haul in long bombs. He also had a knack for somehow getting wide open across the deep middle of the field when opponents knew he was the only viable down field threat at WR. And he often took those passes in stride and gained YAC.

Consistent professional type who won't get in trouble, and will show up every day, do his job and not complain. Could carve out a role as a #2 WR in the NFL given some time to develop.

Fun facts: middle name is Kameron, and he was born in Japan.
