I have loved Thomas and always will

however, I believe training staffs are to approve or at least be consulted prior to the player ingesting supplements

He is at fault and had to know what he was doing. Sad to me

Another perspective, brutal game and players do things to manage pain and stay on the field particularly with age and wear and tear. We all know this. They are not supermen

I mean ST isn’t in the same league as TD was in his prime. Sooner or later we have to play him though and at this point TD isn’t going to suddenly start improving. We have to live in the now and ST was a first round investment who has been underused because he couldn’t displace TD.

Given that Davis was one of the best lb's in our team history, I am not sure we should expect him to be.  And because TD was one of the best, there was very little chance he could displace TD over the last couple of years.

And we have been playing him.  His snap count was third highest among  our linebackers.  It was likely to increase this year, even if TD wasn't suspended.  How much more do you want them to play him?    Some fans keep saying we should play him more, but he is playing more.

And like I said, he is not TD's replacement now.  That might have been the intent when he was drafted, but its not the case now.  Mayo, or someone else will replace TD in the first four games.  If it doesn't work out, we might draft or sign a linebacker next year.  For that matter, we might draft one this year.  Who knows.

Not every player is going to be a star.  Some are going to be average, or maybe slightly above average.  Regardless of what round that they were drafted in.

So Cam is really not Superman?

Let me just say something as someone with a lot of experience in an environment full of PEDs.

Almost all athletes use them. Yes, the banned/illegal kind. Get it in your head that’s the way it is. These drugs are used in delicate cycles and if planned accordingly, are used without issue in the NFL as they’re not found in the body’s system for time period within said cycle.

These drugs affect hormones to put it simply (estrogen inhibitors), and TD knew exactly what he was doing.

That said, steroids have a stigma to them. That’s because there are many different kinds. Steroids in general, however, especially clean steroids used properly, while having side effects, are not as dangerous as one has been taught to think. Or rather has come to believe due to other types of cheap/dangerous types of steroids that people do use.

My point is don’t look at TD differently, all NFL players cycle some sort of banned substance when their not being tested. I’d bet my life on it.

Yes i agree. That was the point i was trying to make. As a replacement it was never a fair contest.

I realise this. However the argument goes that Shaq's best position is occupied by TD. One of 2 things is true. He is either an above average overdrafted player who was a luxury reach pick and that is all. Or he maybe capable of more but we can't find out because TD clearly isn't ready to quit. Call me crazy but having invested a top pick in a guy whos still young i want to be sure of his ceiling. Especially as he moves toward the end of his rookie deal.

And like I said, he is not TD's replacement now.  That might have been the intent when he was drafted, but its not the case now.  Mayo, or someone else will replace TD in the first four games.  If it doesn't work out, we might draft or sign a linebacker next year.  For that matter, we might draft one this year.  Who knows.

Says who? We don't know because he hasn't been used enough there. Maybe you're right but i want to know if we have a guy whos worth paying when his contract is up. Are you so sure that what we've seen is all he can do?

Not every player is going to be a star.  Some are going to be average, or maybe slightly above average.  Regardless of what round that they were drafted in.

Obviously. My frustration is not that he has not lived up to expectations so much as he has not been played in his optimum spot or best used. I wasn't impressed with Shaq as a hybrid in the slot. Presumably RR feels otherwise.

Everyone in the NFL is on something. Usually steriods and or HGH. Mostly HGH as they don't test for that. Well technically they 'test' for HGH but....just leave it will the " " says all it needs to.

LOL @ the "cheater" remarks...

The NFL is easy to beat and they only test once a year for street drugs and are mainly concerned with steriods specifically while all but saying take HGH instead and it's well known and widespread. That way the NFL looks good by testing and the players can heal and get swole AF for what it takes to play most positions.

Just a basic overview from the AH trial. Can easily research it yourself or if you know former players/personnel you been known. They plan their schedules around the testing times and most people know even when the "random" testing will be but at any rate it's about cycles for all players(in most sports not just NFL).

TD, cmon man, you don’t fool us. Anyone who has knowledge of steroids/ testosterone knows that estro blockers are only used while cycling.

In a nutshell, high estrogen  causes low sex drive, bad acne, mood swings, and is hard to dodge if you’re taking steroids. Estrogen blockers help maintain a healthy level of test and estro.

An elite NFL athlete would never have naturally high estro so there’s no other reason why he’d be taking an estro blocker.

As a former teammate you simplify what it means to be a Pro! Hard Worker, Determination, a Man in the Communities(Multiple cities), a Great Father and Great Husband. You gave me a true man of faith that I could follow and be like, We all believe in you TD. Still the Standard.

This situation should hit home for all Panthers fans that our core is rapidly dwindling while our division improves around us. Especially the Saints.

This is why you don't make excuses for offseason ineptitude. We should have done more to fill out our roster in 2016 and 2017. I hope we can do enough this year to stay in contention at least.

you know this team lives and dies by Cam. It will never change until he finally collapses.
