I believe Cam wants to be on a big market team where he can be a bigger star to be honest.  Maybe could make a case to keep him if we would have given him half the weapons that these young qbs get now and days. His left and right tackle was Byron brell and Chandler...

hmmm, it would have to be a major market team with a coming void at QB.  perhaps even a team run by someone cam has played for in the past.

Moving into the 2018 season and just two years away from 2020. Cam has taken an ass beating both on and off the field. He has been dealt a lousy hand with the offensive receiving corp and a subpar O.C. Do you feel that he will stay or decide to move on regardless of $$$ offered or how this team may perform until then with new ownership. Opinions please....

If Marty and Ron are still here, I would strongly question his desire to win if he didn't jump ship.

Cousins

Garop

Stafford

Carr

Brees

Luck

Smith

Flacco

Rodgers

Wilson

Roeth

Manning

Rivers

All are paid more than daddy on a per year basis, which is why we cannot afford to get me more toys. If he really cared about the money, he would have demanded a new contract by now because he certainly deserves to be up there.

According to overthecap.com, Big Ben is making an average of $21,850 a yr and luck is making $24,594 a year, while daddy is making only $20,760 a yr. The recession has hit us hard. Im only 2, but even I know that you should do your homework before calling someone out.

Only if the team wants him to jump ship.  With the franchise tag option players very rarely leave if the team doesn't want them to.  Would he be willing to play on 2 one year deals?

Considering that the franchise tag would be putting him right there at the highest amount paid for a QB in those particular years, he'd be foolish not to. Unlike say a safety or a tight end, the QB tag would be at the top of the earners. A franchise tag at that level probably wouldn't insult anyone...

Timed correctly (with say a couple of other QBs in big payoff years of their contracts) those could be the richest seasons of his career.

Cam will be 31 when he becomes an UFA. He could be franchised for a year, if he has anything left, for a reasonable amount of money, then the team lets him walk at 32. Based on his style of play, it would probably be the best time for the team to part ways. He hasn't shown to be the type of quarterback who will be a league leader worthy of a huge contract if can't play with physicality.

When he's 32 years old, I doubt he'll have that. We should enjoy him until then.

Ugh. People have been saying "Cam's body can't hold up" for several years now. Until it happens, I aint buying it. We can only pray he stays with us beyond this contract.

Cam already knows his body can't take much more - it's why he jumped away from that ball in the Super Bowl, among other incidents. Wouldn't be surprised if he retires when this contract is up. I don't really think football is his passion - honestly, I think he'll find more success when he does find his true calling. The question is...do we have a plan in place for when that happens? Just my two cents.

Smh.

This absolutely is why Cam needs to hurry to another team. This is completely and utterly false in every way.

Panther fans will never truly appreciate who Cam actually is as a QB. Not one who scrambles and throws out of the pocket, but one who stands in the pocket and directs it like any other elite pocket passer, looks off safeties, and throws pretty darn good balls despite being in a very horrid scheme that makes it hard on him to throw easy passes
