This is the idiot test...would be a great pick

Sorry to the Huddlers but...forward thinking......just a little

Bro,  your way overthinking this. We have Zero need for a quarterback right now.  Even if it did work out we wouldn’t need him for at least another 3 to 5 years.  Cam is still in his prime and isn’t that old.

your post is dumb as poo

Voth has indicated that the Panthers could look strongly at drafting a mid-round quarterback to groom as Newton's successor in this draft.

Doubt that means we get Rudolph but the thought has apparently crossed their minds.

Late round as a project/back up would make sense. Would get resigned for cheap and could eventually start.

Didn't really watch Oklahoma State, so I watched some clips to get an idea about him.  The biggest thing I noticed is that he tends to throw to where his receiver is, he doesn't really lead him much.  Sure, he had his moments, but generally his receivers had to slow down or stop and wait on the ball rather than catching it in stride.  He had a high completion percentage mainly because so many of his passes were underneath and bubble screens.  Past 15-20 yards, he was pretty inconsistent.  A lot of his long completions would have likely been either broken up or intercepted in the NFL.  For the record, he seems to have good arm strength, and to me, it's more of a ball placement and accuracy issue.

So, while I can see why some like him, I think he's a 2-3 year developmental prospect before he'll be anywhere near ready to start.  He might be better in a WCO, but he will still need to work on his ball placement and leading his receiver.

Sounds like he could be the guy the Pats target at 23 from some Twitter talk yesterday, or the Bills could grab him earlier.

No he can't go in the first round according to some Huddlers on here.  As for the Pats they can't take him..they have Brady.  Cam can be a UFA in a few seasons but I'm told that's false too...

I was surprised to see that they could cut him after this season.  That's an interesting structure to his contract.  Thanks for sharing.

Bringing this back up...so is Mason Rudolph a better pro prospect than Baker Mayfield?  If not, please someone explain to me why that is the case?

Same conference,  similar talent around them...Rudolph is without question the better prospect.  I have no question in my mind there.
