Lol, I hope not. I have 1 Class in the Summer, and 2 Courses in the Fall and I'm done. I actually know what my major is, but it is one of them ones that is hard to explain to people. Thanks, I only take 1 course, every 8 weeks, while working full time. It has taken me close to 8 years to get a Bachelors... gotta start somewhere right?

(40 - 25.3)/25.3 = 58.1% increase, that is a lot more pressure on DBs. 

2016 team sack total 47

2017 team sack total 50

(50 - 47)/47= 6.38% increase of sacks

 

The blitzing did not significantly increase sacks to justify opening up our backend to big plays.

Brabdberry / Cockrell / Munnerlyn

We are legit at all three positions, Searcy and Adams rotating at Safety with a rookie day 1/2 selection gives us one of our better secondaries in recent years. 

Paired with what has the potential to be a better pass rush with the addition of Poe, Butler seeing more time, as well as Hall making his debut after a red-shirt season, and other guys like Horton who's been better each year. I think there's a reason for some cautious optimism. We really don't ''need'' to draft a defensive back this season. 

Gunter / Seymour / Elder / Luke are all depth that I think most of us like.

We do need  a stud safety for sure...but the off season moves at CB give us some flexibility in the draft...we could very well look at Corn as our new draft pick and concentrate on other positions unless a CB falls to us that we couldn't turn down...

Honestly I don't know that we need defensive pieces as much as more offensive weapons. By our pick at 24 we know the best DEs will be off the board. Maybe the best corners or safety may be gone as well. So is the better value the 3rd or 4th best corner or safety or the best TE or the best guard. Obviously the 5th best safety might be tops on our board making it a no brainer. Or we can find equivalent talent as one position later on in the draft but not at another. Still when I read talking about our biggest needs and drafting purely for need, it makes me pretty concerned about reaching.

I think DB will be okay. Bradberry has the goods to be a legit #1. 

Its safety I’m worried about. I like our veteran options but we need some youth and athleticism back there.

I think the off season moves have helped to the point we dont have to reach...with tge amount of talent worthy of the first rd I see us with a good chance to get what we need in a BPA capacity...WR...DE...CB...SAFETY...OL are all in play ,which is a great position to be in...

We need a FS and DE class is weak, I concur that this draft maybe primarily an offensive leaning one.

I can see DJ Moore in the first, Hurst in the 2nd, Bates III and Penny in the 3rd.

Getting better players is usually the best formula for success.  However, another pathway is mentality.  Since Norman’s release we have lost the “theives ave” attitude.  We may not have or be able to acquire a playmaker in the secondary, but RR must allow them to take more chances and create more turnovers.  If all you are required to do is bend, bend, bend you lose your aggressiveness. The secondary needs to come together as a unit and develop it’s own personality that can feed off of one another.

I'm good if we don't draft a CB high. I think Cockrell will be great for us and his deal is a damn steal.
