Right.

Public perception of teams is an interesting thing in the offseason.  Rams for example, are darlings and can do no wrong and Eagles just won the Super Bowl so every move they make is considered genius.

Yeah with the Rams doing what they're doing, people have already forgotten who won the Super Bowl as they pencil in the Rams next year.

Arguably the third best team my a$$. Same record as division champs last year and 2 years removed from a SB appearance. No actual facts support that opinion.

you cant say we're better than the Saints because we got 3x swept by them last season, thats an important fact that doesnt show up on a simple "Panthers 11-5 in 2017" stat listing. We also got lost in the WC.

Even I'm still kinda confused on how to view last year. Obvious improvement over 2016 on paper, but we still had horrible issues in the secondary and offense was really inconsistent.

Yeah, it was a weird year. The results were pretty good but we seemed to have so many obvious holes and glaring weaknesses. I honestly think we were simultaneously close to being in the Super Bowl and being a 4 win team.

I think if we played the pats again Brady wouldve sliced up coleman and worley.

But then again the Pats seem to continually make Cam rise to the occasion.

Yeah, I am not sure what I would have thought about that matchup. We had beaten them already, but oddly, I think that would have favored them.

The mixed feeling comes from either winning or loosing 11 games by 7 points or less. It literally comes from losing to the Saints by 21 then beating the Patriots the following week.

Or beating the patriots and Vikings and getting demolished by the Bears
