The legend of Dave Gettleman which people here still tirelessly defend is almost entirely based on the bravado and bluster from his press conference antics. We even had audio clips of his top phrases built into the message boards here at one point. Who does that? Sounds like the sort of worship that would make ol' "mister" Jerry Richardson proud.

Obviously in this clip they're roasting him in a funny but unfair way.

But that's a harbinger of things to come. Gettle""""""""""man"""""""" has officially departed the land of easily-impressed yokels who'll clap for anything and entered the world of professional sports. He will be judged for his failures from this point on, and they will be many.

With all of the Giants superfans on the Huddle, you'd think this would be more widely understood.

So you're one of those easily impressed yokels that loves hurney

Lebatard is roasting Nippleshorts for thinking he "invented football" and his "football genius" can solve all problems with his Master's degree in PE class. He's joking how such and "old-hat" football guy will have anything in common with ODB.

They played a snippet of Getts being interviewed by NY media - Getts tried to answer questions like he did here with the canned "I'm only gonna take football questions. Not gunna talk about players." The media kept at the ODB stuff and Getts let's out one of his awesome laughs. Lebatard continues roasting him.

Funny if you are a Gettlemen hater. Not funny if you actually liked Getts. If you are in the middle - it's just plain entertaining.

It's OBJ. It has never been, nor will it ever be, ODB.

Says the grown man who weeps  at every Cam Newton criticism.

I have no reason to "weep" lil snowflake, because I have no doubt that Cam Newton could kick your snowflake arse up and down your home-street every day of the week and twice on Sunday whenever he wanted to.

Or maybe it’s because of the fact that under DG we had by far our most success in franchise history.

i've heard people busting nuts about le batard's show for years.  i've tried to listen to it probably half a dozen times and always end up zoning out like i'm just listening to white noise.  at least marc james back when and chris kelly (that's not sports talk but it elicits the same type of emotion) are fun to hate-listen to because you don't know what offensively stupid thing they're going to say next.
