Word. Kemba is awesome. I hope we do whatever we can to surround him with talent next year. Make cuts, make trades, do whatever it takes to keep him.

So you think he resigns here?  Would you trade him for a top 10 pick in the next draft if you didn't know?  If you did, fine, resign him but losing him for nothing would be a kill shot.

You try and work an extension in the offseason and into to next year if needed. If both sides can’t agree then you move him at the deadline.

Who ever the new GM is needs to make keeping Kemba in Charlotte his number one priority. Number two should be doing what ever has to be done without involving Kemba to get Batum the fug off this team. This team would be in the playoffs if we had IR’ed Batum. If teams wouldn’t have seen him play this season he may have actually been moveable this offseason.

Do you really understand how this works? No one is taking Batum.  Would you trade for him in any scenario?  Stop, Batum is here and paid stupid money for now.  Disagree on the playoffs, we need another coach first but Batum is not going anywhere.  Hope I'm wrong but I'm not...nobody wants him.

So if we can resign Kemba...lets just assume that.  Then just make a solid pick in the draft (hopefully the new GM can do that) and play with what we have...lots of talent.  Get a new coach.  After next season we may have much better options.

Yes I understand how it works. Even if the player we get in return for Batum also has a terrible contract we just need someone who can contribute and work with this team. Unless a new coach can work some magic Batum just doesn’t fit.

If you would have told me we would be able to trade Plumlee for Howard I would have never believed you. It’s highly unlikely we are able to move Batum but you have to try. There’s always a chance. Find a serviceable back up point guard on a bad contract and he would be more valuable than Nic.

How in gods name does keep trading crap for crap work?  Also, packing Kemba or our 1st rounder to get rid of crap is even worse.  You better cuddle up close with Batum because he is ours...Cho made sure of that.

Draft a good player this year and go with what we have for now.

If we are stuck with the cap hit, why not try and find someone who will at least contribute something? Nic hurts us when he is in the lineup. He’s slow, doesn’t shoot particularly well, and his passing is no where near what it once was. He is good for at least 2 crucial turnovers during crunch time in close games. Defensively he isn’t terrible. A bad contract for a certain team may not be as terrible for another. One mans trash is another mans treasure.

I am holding onto a small sliver of hope that somehow, someway we are able to pull of a trade for Kawhi Leonard in the offseason. He is pissed at the entire Spurs organization and wants out. MJ has already come out and stated how he loves Kawhi.

If we can send them some package of 1st rd pick + Lamb/MKG/Bacon or Monk (whoever really) - whatever they want outside of Kemba - we do it.

PG - Kemba
SG - Batum
SF - Kawhi
PF - Marvin
C - Dwight

We can't afford him unless the spurs take on Batum.

    • Fair enough. I never once said not supporting Tepper makes you a bad fan by the way. I can't stand the guy myself. You on the other hand don't like anything about the team. You can't stand the owner or the coach because his religion doesn't fall in line with how you feel it should so I'm curious why you are even a fan at this point? Hell, you like nothing about the team, why even be a fan these days?  We can go backs and forth about how many games we have been to and measure dicks if you want or but it doesn't matter. I've been to my fair share over the years. Some as a fan and some work related but I bet you have been to more due to my weekends being filled with some work I do at the collegiate level so I probably only average maybe 2-3 games per year tops. You have me beat there im sure. You are probably very correct on us not being the same in anything at all I am quite sure of that. If I'm a "mark" (as you put it) for not liking Tepper and not caring about Canales religion or his political beliefs or letting it have weight on whether or not I like the team then call me a "mark" but you're still a whiny bitch either way.  When you hate everything about leadership from their personalities to their religious beliefs all the way to who they vote for at that point why even be a fan? I can side with you judging by your beliefs that you have made apparent, if you owned and coached the team, I sure as hell would find a new one to support but as you said we are different. Enjoy Norway, it is a beautiful country. Visited last year myself and absolutely loved it.
    • The playing well part, depends on what happens going forward. It could have been a tease that will dig our hole deeper.  In the small picture of one game, probably his best game. Green Bay wasn't as great as people think it was. More like one good quarter. Followed by two games of exactly nothing.
    • Oh, it was handled horrifically.  Ego got in the way of a plan.  I'm just saying, that he actually probably stumbled into the better outcome/plan.
