praying that we do not waste a 1st round pick on the least important position in all of football.

Take a look at the ridiculous contracts free agent WRs fetched this year. Pretty clear that the NFL strongly disagrees with your "least important position" stance.

If we want an impact WR we'll have to draft one because we can't afford one on the open market.

Right.  I am one of the people who think you develop inside to out, front to back.  In other words, you can have a game changing WR, but if you have no OL, you are limited.  I think our needs are on the outside or back, (S, CB, WR, TE, RB) since Moton is now going to (possibly) be the LG.

they likely continue to lose to the patriot and win their division. no team drafts WR better than Pitt. Also, thank you for proving my point with a 6th round draft pick example.

It wasn’t just competent, it was mainly healthy. If Samuel or Byrd is healthy or if KB isn’t traded, I’d think any of them could have caught the ball Clay dropped.

exactly. health killed us. even funchess wasnt healthy.

This is so true...look at what Norwell just got and what good tackles usually get on the open market.

I for one hope the Moton to LG rumors are true because he is the difference maker on our OL this year. It would keep us from having to go G at 24 or even 55. Moton played G in school and is so intuitive and intelligent that he has a place on our line. Why not at least try him for a year at LG and see what pans out. It's not like we are trying to convert Munnerlyn to LG.

Going Allll in on the small speedy WRs I see

Torrey Smith- 6'0 205 (4.43)

Russell Shepard- 6'1 195 (4.46)

Byrd- 5'9 180 (4.28)

Curtis Samuel- 5'11 195 (4.31)

Jarius Wright- 5'10 190 (4.42)

Funchess- 6'4 225 (4.7)

Cam will still overt throw them and then people will say it's cuz he has no weapons

I watched some YouTube clips. He kind of has odellesque athleticism. Or maybe  smitty. He just glides out there and has a nose for the touchdown. No effort. Think he’s gonna be a really good nfl player.

I remember you having a real hard on for Odell when he was comimg out and you were pretty spot on with how good he was. Antics aside

so, ill trust your judgement on this guy since you have a pretty good radar for WRs

Well, I guess since they keep losing to the Pats who got Brady in the 6th round too that must mean that QB is also one of the least important positions in football.

See how these spiking the football "proves my point" posts work out?
