Highlights:

- Stated that the process is "accelerating" and the bidding part of the process could be finished shortly.

- Confirmed visits: Kestenbaum, Navarro, Tepper; others possible but nothing currently known.

- Outside of Ben Navarro, there's a real possibility that the next owner might not live in Charlotte or the Carolinas.

- The "brass balls" things is not gonna be a big deal to anybody in the NFL.

- Tepper is a big time philanthropist in whatever community he's involved with.  Charlotte would likely be no exception.

- Peralta didn't specifically address Michael Rubin but did seem to confirm that Richardson's personal feelings do have an effect on the decision.

- On the personal side of things, Ben Navarro is the closest match to Jerry Richardson.  Tepper is more of a flashy "where's the camera" guy.

- Ultimately though, the money is still likely to be the biggest factor.  Personal issues could apply if the money is not very far apart.

- The final showdown likely comes down to Navarro and Tepper, as expected.  Kestenbaum looks to be in third place right now.

- Peralta believes the winning bidder will be known within two to three weeks.  A "front runner" may be leaked before any official
  announcement is made.

Someone came into my job who works directly under Navarro here in Charleston. Said he's in contact with him every day.  Told me that Navarro is a nice guy and you'd never know he had the type of money he had if you were just BSing with him. Interesting fact....Navarro grew up a Giants fan. My source said that the Panthers are all he's focused on right now and kept it at that.  Legit source. I think it's gonna be Navarro....and I'm happy about that.

I like what I've seen of Navarro.

My one question would be "How nice?"

There's nice as in good guy, treats everyone fairly, talks straight, etc. And then there's nice as in "doesn't have the backbone to fire people who need to be fired".

His dad was a coach, so I have to imagine he understands that there are some guys who just don't cut it. It's also hard to believe that he built a billion dollar business without having to dump a few people along the way.

Of course, people probably said that about Jerry Richardson too. Though to be fair, Richardson's primary issue wasn't so much that he was afraid to fire people as it was that he made decisions on who to hire and fire based on factors other than actual job performance.

Not likely any way to find out, but it would be great to know how Navarro is on that front.

I got the sense that Navarro came across humble. He said you could have a conversation with him and never know he was a billionaire. That's what was meant by nice guy.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wcnc.com/amp/article%3fsection=sports&subsection=nfl&topic=panthers&headline=chamber-on-panthers-sale-publicprivate-partnership-possible&contentId=275-535172194 “ WCNC is reporting Tepper is  the “front runner” which yeah, sure it seems that some “insiders” believe that but this caught me off guard.... “many insiders feel like Kestenbaum is in second place”. I really don’t feel like WCNC is extremely credible on this issue because in the next sentence they go on to talk about “Feliz Sabates”. From every thing I’ve gathered Navarro seems to be the favorite or Tepper depending on you look at it and Kestenbaum seems to be on the fringes. Who knows honestly. I’m soooo ready for someone to be leaked as the “front runner, believed to have been selected by Jerry Richardson”.

I seriously google “Panthers sale” around 30 times a day. It’s ridiculous.

That’s almost worthy of  a new thread. I’m sitting here reading the responses almost convinced it’s Navarro until I see the last post

Their article struck me as amateur but I’m 100% biased toward Navarro winning this thing.
