Richardson group should pay PSL owners

It would be a percentage based and it wouldn't even cover season tickets for the year.

Take the upper level section. Original cost for a PSL seat was $500. So say they pay $1000 per seat for the upper level that would only cover half of this year's season ticket price. So while the PSL owner wouldn't get rich it would be a nice jester.

Those who believe the idea of PSL owners being owed anything are nice jesters.

But if the condos are ever bought out and replaced you get part of the profit. Heck even time share owners get money if the timeshare is sold and replaced with a nontimeshare site.

I don't believe you get a cut, you actually just get bought out. They don't send residents a "bonus" check for living there......

This is an entirely different transaction. The equivalent to your example here would be someone buying all PSL’s directly from the owners and then selling them at a higher price than they paid.

Difference is dealing directly with PSL owners and their rights.

If they buy the condos to build something else on the land they have to buy you out.

The psl contract is very clear.  You don’t get anything beyond the right to buy the tickets and a few other silly perks (like that stinky flag). It even details what happens if the team moves.  It’s iron clad.  Psl owners get nothing.

It’d be cool if JR peeled off 500 mil but pretty lol to think he would.

Lol, I thought I was the only one to get that stinky flag.  Had to throw it out because of the strong smell of paint.

I was one of the unfortunate few who just bought PSL tickets last year.  I'm ready to stomach the loss, but hoping for at least an 'in' on the next stadium's season tickets.  If they leave the PSL owners out in the cold, I'm not sure I could support the new ownership.

Hopefully you won't have to worry about this.  I am a PSL owner myself, since 2002, and really don't think there will be a new stadium any time soon.  Despite its "age" the current stadium was built in a modern era way in that it has a lot of suites and lots of club seats, who also have a very nice indoor area to lounge and concessions.  There is also room inside to do more, plus the location is great, etc.

AS it relates to not being able to support a new location.  Despite every game being sold out, if you go every Sunday you see all the empty seats.... SO we still have a fan base that wont buy single game tickets from others and then your going to ask 50k people to spend another $3k to $10k+ for a PSL of which we already spent that kind of money??  Not going to happen.  The fan base isn't here that can do that, there is no waiting list and not a large number of people try to get tickets as it is.

This all being said,,,,, I won't be a peace until we have new owners and a new long term lease signed at the current place :shades:

There is no lease. The team owns the stadium.

One thing about this sale that hasn't been mentioned. The PSL owners paid for the building of Bank of America.  Richardson's Group is going to get paid by the new owner to buy the stadium.

The Richardson group should send that money to the PSL owners as they actually paid for the stadium to be built.

The money should be divided up by percentage paid in. So if you own lower level seats you get a higher percentage.   When built psl owners paid around 500 million.  They should at least get back that much if not more.

You sound like a Democrat.

Sorry wrong use of words... whatever you want to call the deal the team made with the city/state the most recent time when they got tax payer money for the stadium upgrades, etc.  They signed an agreement then which runs out in a year or so.  That is what I was referring.  A new owner will most likely be looking for something from the city whether it be in the form of money, tax incentives, etc, etc... with that there will be another deal but yeah technically not a lease.    So I will reword.. "I won't be a peace until we have new owners and a new long term DEAL signed to stay at the current place :shades: "

someday in the future when a new stadium is scheduled, if we are lucky the current PSL owners will get first choice of the insanely expensive seats. If we are really really lucky we will get a 10 percent discount.

That's about it.

But I expect at least 10 more years of life from this stadium, by then who knows, the NFL could be in it's death throes and it could be converted to a minor league rollerball stadium.
