I agreed with most of what you said, but don't talk about the Bern.  Especially since you see where all the "money" is with the current administration. ...  Hint: it aint that $6.67 a paycheck the common folk are getting either.

You won’t find me supporting any of the clowns in Washington unless the last name is Paul and dads name is Ron.

I actually like the idea. But how many PSLs are there? If they paid out 10k average to 50k seats, thats 500m dollars. Do you honestly expect the ownership group to part with that kind of money?

It’s an absurd idea.

of course they wouldn’t part with that kind of money there’s not even a question of whether or not the PSL owners are owed the money. This is looney and sounds like a bunch of entitled liberals to me.

THE PSL WAS NOT AN INVESTMENT. It was a purchase of a license to have first dibs on a seat in a stadium.

PSL OWNERS DO NOT OWN ANY PORTION OF THE PANTHERS

NOBODY OWES THE PSL OWNERS ANYTHING.

Assfurrholic is getting angry with all the capital letters.

Seems to be some key concepts either intentionally being ignored or just aren’t registering in the brain matter area of the head.

this whole discussion is lunacy, when I read it initially I thought it to be satire, but as I got further in the thread I realized that I was horribly mistaken.

Please y'all are actually defending not giving PSL owners money. From a group that will be getting a 2.5 billion check.

I was just pointing out that PSL owners should get some money. Y'all act like y'all own the Panthers.

I get it....but the reality is the PSL doesn’t really do anything but benefit the owner.

If anything the city should be asking where their cut of the pie is since they publicly funded part of the stadium recently for upgrades. But that won’t even happen. Hell look at the Marlins stadium deal with the city of Miami. They had it written into the contract and they still found a way to not pay the city.

The PSL was “advertised” to help build the stadium because it showed the NFL and to Jerry’s investors that he had a product in an area that was guaranteed to sell, and that the investors would get their money back if they bought in.

PSLs only benefit really the owner. What happens when we build a new stadium? Think those people who bought in 20 years ago will get the same seats at the same price at the new place? Nope. They only own the license for the “old” stadium.

The team is still there.  The seats are still there.  The stadium is still there.

There will be tax implications for the State that are related to income taxes.

PSL seats are not an investment that anyone with any sense would think gets a cut of the team sale.  They are a luxury and anyone who thought differently was fooling themselves.

If you pre purchase a condo in a development and the owner sells the property at a later date you don't get a cut the profit.

Meanwhile there’s people here who think PsL holders are entitled to 20% of the sale price of the team.

It would be a percentage based and it wouldn't even cover season tickets for the year.

Take the upper level section. Original cost for a PSL seat was $500. So say they pay $1000 per seat for the upper level that would only cover half of this year's season ticket price. So while the PSL owner wouldn't get rich it would be a nice jester.

But if the condos are ever bought out and replaced you get part of the profit. Heck even time share owners get money if the timeshare is sold and replaced with a nontimeshare site.
