Every year a team is lacking depth at some position so they talk up some random 3rd stringers. I remember when Rivera and Co. were talking up Nate Chandler like he would be the next Jordan Gross.

 

I mean I just don’t get what people expect players and coaches to say?

 

It’s not like coaches ever tell the truth and hardly do players. Coaches are always saying how great their team is no matter how horrible they are.

 

when. a player gets drafted he always thanks God, Family and coaches for the opportunity even if he’s being drafted to the browns. He is never like “ well I’m gonna be on this horrible team and I hate it, atleast I’ll make millions.”

Rivera is a players coach he's gotten the most out of JAGs year in and year out he's motivational. Also he's setting us up I think we want a RB and a TE2 but if we don't get what we want and end up with S/OL/RB/DE no TE (that can contribute) we are gonna say we believed the whole time in Manherts ability blah blah blah Ron thinks he slick I like it confidence is key.

strickland did make a leap, but the funny thing is he's an employee of the panthers. it's not like person making some kind of assumption about something.

Plus the team does tend to be particular about what information they let out.
