So one good season, zero championships and a huge amount of drama count as success?

Worth remembering that part of the reason Smith was let go was that he was perceived to be holding Cam Newton back. If Smith was bad for Newton, what would Beckham be like?

Steve Smith wanted to control the offense.

Odell likes to dance.

how are we pretending they’re the same person?

You seriously think the big problem people have is with Beckham's on field celebrations?

Have you heard of this thing called Google?

Beckham is more of a headache now than old Steve Smith, young Steve Smith, happy Steve Smith, angry Steve Smith, offended Steve Smith, drunk Steve Smith or any other version of Steve Smith that has ever existed.

disagree.

89 assaulted teammates, at any point in any game was perfectly fine going into rage mode and putting the team second, etc.

Steve Smith was OUR talented headache.   Beckham isn't more of one.

Odell likes to cheap shot players because they get in his head. he can't deal with the the frustration of being outplayed. He wants to be paid at top tier QB level. Now after showing poor decision making on the field, he's making poor decisions off the field. You don't pay someone close 20 mill a season if they're one mistake away from being suspended.

Oh. You’re right. I can easily google reactions anytime the Carolina Panthers QB is found doing anything other than holding a bible.

Have you heard of this thing called sensationalism? How about overreacting?

Every year, the NFL has guys who engage in some variation of bad boy antics.

They act like spoiled brats, cause problems in the locker room, engage in risky, stupid and sometimes criminal off-field behavior, treat women badly or just generally do something so bad that their current team doesn't believe their talent is even worth it anymore.

Someday, somebody's going to have to explain to me what it is about those guys that makes some people say "You know the smart thing to do would be to pay that guy millions of dollars and put ourselves in a position to have to depend on him for our success."

People dance over this and will chalk it up to little man's syndrome or something. The front office appeased Smith no reason the old regime wouldn't do that if we had odell. Is he a great talent...... sure, would I want him here for the right price.... probably, but this would never happen and him and Cam are TOO cool

Potential to win, even though ELITE wr's don't ccontribute to super bowl wins in recent years

Over the past several seasons, the Huddle has pined for Josh Gordon, Justin Blackmon, Greg Hardy, Dorial Green-Beckham and even Titus Young.

All those guys put together haven't even gotten as close to a Super Bowl ring as Brenton Bersin has.

not reading what I am sure is a wonderful and well-thought out thread but OBJ has said he wants to be the highest paid player in the league

That's the only issue I have with trading for him. Sure he's a diva but many great WRs are. Cam would throw for all the yards with a top three WR.
