I can't believe how many of ya'll would say no to an all-time great QB/WR pairing just because you don't like the guy's dancing or hair or whatever. None of that even remotely matters. He'd put an immediate end to the "no weapons for Cam" debate and our need at the position.

I imagine it would be just as successful as Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens.

I don't want his diva bum ass anywhere near this team.

The huddle's all time favorite Panther wasn't really that different than OBJ.  He was just our OBJ type.

I mean we don't have the money.  So it ain't gonna happen.  But the man this board views as the GOAT.....pretty much was an OBJ type player.  Maybe more of a headache in reality.

The best receiver in our franchise's history ended a teammate's playing career OBJ is child's play in comparison.

This is really a good point.    I'm not sure I would want to trade for OJB, but Smith was just as much or more of a thug and he's everyone's darling.       If you want to win, you make this trade, honestly, and you cut Kalil if you have to.    That being said, I really doubt this happens and I don't even think this is realistic honestly, just two sides of a contract negotiation throwing shots.

What has OBJ done in the playoffs?

Don't you ever compare that bum to Smitty again.

I would probably be OK with a 1200 yard 14 TD season with OBJ and Cam lol.

So one good season, zero championships and a huge amount of drama count as success?

Worth remembering that part of the reason Smith was let go was that he was perceived to be holding Cam Newton back. If Smith was bad for Newton, what would Beckham be like?

we are talking diva/headaches type WRs.  Smith and OBJ are from the exact same mold.   They are also mind boggling playmakers.

and 4 years into his career, both he and  89 have/had 1 postseason appearance.  89's was a good one.

Beckham thus far in his career....the more dominant overall player with 4 years in the books.

Actually two good seasons, he was injured for the season after all but 7 games and still had close to 800 yards and 6 TD's.      I'm just saying, Smith was as much or more of a thug (criminally and on the field) than OBJ and he's the best around here.     Also, I don't think you can count championships when we're a team that has NEVER had a back to back winning season.     It's not like we're the Patriots.    I still don't think it's even serious, anyway.

the old 89 was let go...because he was more bark than bite.  We wouldn't of let the younger 89 go.  We would have put up with his bs...like we always did when it was worth it.
