In general, I agree with you. However last year I wrote off Kamara for his ball security issues but obviously this hasn't been an issue in the pro's.

Why? I don't know. Some players can be coached on that problem and some can't.

Yeah everything isn't an exact science but it could be because he' ssharing carries so the opportunities for him to fumble are lower

Royce Freeman is a strong inside runner and would be a good short yardage grinder. Maybe available from round 3 to 5

Yeah, but I think the team wants someone that is more than just a short yardage back, and I don't see Freeman as complete a back as these two guys.

Well I think McCaffrey will get most of the carries and catches but we need a bruiser for short yards so Cam doesn’t have to do it.

I agree on all points.  However, both Penny and Chubb are good on short yardage plays as well.  And while CMC will definitely get more carries than last year, and likely be the primary ball carrier, he's so versatile that I think we'll see both backs on the field quite a bit.  And I also think that just having Norv spread the defense around will open up running lanes that were few and far between last season.

I just think Penny and Chubb give us a dimension that Freeman doesn't.

I know many are high on Sony but he has a fundamental issue with fumbling the football that is even more glaring when you consider he's splitting carries with Chubb.

Sony fumbles once ever 50 carries while Penny fumbles once every 105 carries. This is a Stat that follows a running back to the NFL. For example Kareem Hunt never fumbled in college and only did once this year on his very first NFL carry. Whereas Mixon fumbles every 73 carries in college and every 69 carries in the pros.

Damn. Good call. I didn't realize he had the fumblitis THAT bad.

We don’t need a fumbler to lose games for us forget  Michel

Yeah I knew he did a little  but I didn't know it was as bad as it actually was. And it could potentially be worse if he's someone's primary back.

Then again, maybe it could be better. Maybe splitting carries every year made him press more when he was on the field. But, he'd be splitting time here again.
