i LOVE THE PICK. Has been my pick since early on. If your gonna be picking this late and you can get the best player at his postion at a position of need? Why not.

I honestly woudlnt be opposed to it if he ends up being good. The problem is , there are no sure fire TE prospects like usual in this draft. I think thats a risky move getting one with pick 24, but the need is certainly there with Greg getting older but still young enough to teach up someone for a 2 or 3 seasons and have some of his burden taken off with another good pass catching TE . 

If the staff are very determined to get a TE , the safer move would be to not make any of the usual trade ups in the 2nd/3rd and use any of those 3 picks to get a TE. I think Hurst and Andrews look just as good as Dallas, and there are a few mid round guys that look very solid too. 

If I were drafting, Id ideally go something like this : 
R1 : S / CB 

R2 : WR / RB

R3 :  TE/ G/C (very often we trade up, Im guessing we use one of our thirds to trade up).
