I've seen nothing that definitively states anyone is more or less likely to move the team unless you count being from the area (Navarro and Goodnight).

One housekeeping item: For the record, Goodnight hasn't actually been confirmed to have made an official bid. He's just "interested". Whether or not he's officially involved in the process isn't certain.

It's hilarious how half-assed this guy's attempts to deflect from his primary reason for not liking Rubin are. Navarro runs a debt collection company that has been penalized for unethical collection practices, but Rubin is the vulture. Rubin is one of 3-4 bidders out of state, yet he is the one that wants to move the team to a city he has no connection to.

One of the reasons he doesn’t like Rubin is because of the potential Diddy ties. 

It doesn’t matter how many times you tell him Steph Curry is involved. A Carolina native, who is the only one who is an admitted Panthers fan. Diddy being involved and the fact that everyone sees this guy as a progressive individual is what makes him come at Rubin.

He's probably one of those obtuse "shut up and play" types that don't like players speaking out on social issues that matter to them. He knows Rubin likely won't encourage players to stay silent over Tepper or Navarro, who probably have the same "values" as Richardson.

This is the same fan base that says Cam Newton has brought a “different” type of fan (and that’s a “prominent” poster who said that) and they don’t like it, so you know those same type of “fans” that came along with the Cam Newton’s would come with Rubin. He and many others of this fan base don’t want that

Yeah, I've given JR a rash of poo on here for his Mom and Pop way of running the organization, but he accomplished what no other person had been capable of doing, bringing the NFL to the Carolinas.

A lot of people downplay that accomplishment here at the huddle, but it was no sure thing.  JRs bid was considered a longshot because we were up against some tough competition.  Reports at the time said his group provided a very impressive presentation (the best) to league officials and that helped secure our new franchise.

There is no way for me to know what happened over the last 25 years to JR that turned him from a dynamic/shrewd businessman into what has been reported in the press about him recently, but I will say that major surgery, medications and octogenarians don't always mix well. 

I hope whoever is the decision maker for the sale of the Panthers values the team's ties to the Carolinas enough that they make sure the new owners aren't trying to hoodwink JR.  I'm pretty sure the shrewd businessman that brought the Panthers to the region 25 years ago wouldn't want to see all his hard work tossed aside by some cagey interloper who only wants to move the team.
